I'm currently testing it and, to be honest, I don't think you would need its real-time protection considering that you use DefenseWall and AppRanger. It's a nice addition for on-demand scans, though.

SUPERAntispyware is the antispyware application that many folks recommend here. I am using the professional version as an on-demand scanner, only because I planned before to have an AV/AS/FW setup. But since I am using DefenseWall, I only use it for on-demand scans along with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

Do a forum search to see threads concerning SUPERAntispyware.

I have used a-squared with KIS 2009, and also with SAS. I did not have any issues. I must say that none of my AT/AM applications have ever found anything except cookies. They include a-squared, SAS Pro, and AVG 7.5 AS.

I use them, but I am not sure why, as I am convinced that a good AV will catch anything the AT/AM applications catch.
    Regards,
    Jerry

CounterSpy V2 would've been better had it consumed fewer system resources and used smaller definitions.

Both SAS and Counterspy are very good. Personally I prefer SAS.:thumb:

A-Squared is one of the best antitrojan/antispy: quickly updated, spreaded signatures, deep scan. And a good IDS, Mamutu. To use it other than the antivirus is a second option to guard your pc and to detect the threats. You can use it only with on demand scan, i.e. once in a week...
