    Hello to all,
I know that ProSecurity is dead but I've been trialing the version 1.43 and I really like it. It is my favorite HIPS so far. However, my trial period is over and would like to get the full version. Is it still possible to buy it somewhere? Or it was only from their official website?

Unfortunately, I think you've answered your own question.

Based on Prosecurity's defunct forum, I know of at least 3 folks who paid for PS 1.43 but could not get it activated. Their $$ is down the toilet.

My suggestion -- in the unlikely event that you find somewhere to buy PS 1.43, DON'T. :argh:

Thanks for the advice! I think I will move to EQSysSecure instead but PS was really a keeper for me.

Why pay for something that can't offer support or updates/upgrades?

I am the 4th one and surely not the last. I purchased the licence some 2 years ago but as an old user I cannot have the latest version activated online either.
No more choice but to refrain from using/purchasing PS for a while/forever.

That's a downright shame folks. So many customers, like myself finally after many hopeful months of trying to get that one version that finally worked as expected, which was version 1.43 which i must admit i really favor highly and i was thrilled with all it's abundance of features AND protections, only to join this elite group just like the rest of you.

So it's back to trusty ole EQS for me, and at least this HIPS is a full coverage workhorse which looks like it won't ever be updated again now some magic shield is replaced it. So goes the expectations sometimes just when we think we've finally made some headway.

    Hi, If you have copy of v 1.43 and requiring activation, there are some hopes;

on its former Chinese forum (part of another Chinese Forum), there are postings regarding reg info and Prosecur system file which will replace existing one, then user can enter the reg info supplied. No online activation requiresd. One catch:
you need its memebership and ability to read Chinese.

Does it worth that much of efforts ? you be the judge !

I have but one thing to say to add light of whats been happening with these HIPS.

I appeal for more developers to get much more involved in constructing their own Classical HIPS and fill this void.

The same applies to Behavioral Blockers. Tall Order maybe, but if given half a chance, you may just be surprised to find a cascade of audiences and customers to elevate your financial prospects for the future.

I've been paying attention nowadays it's very common with security softwares mainly hips left behind your paying customer and it's not a case of bankrupcy.I purchased diamondcs pg and prosecurity pro.both let me down and I got very disappointed with them. so,there isn't no confidence.because we haven't any protection when purchasing online alongside internet. I promisse myself no to be tricked again by purchasing online security softwares and the security companies just disappear without any previous notice.today, I only use freeware security programs (windows) or gnu linux that is all included, that is all the safetyness without paying a dime. they won't steal my money again! it should be a police case.that's all! best regards.

    :argh:

ps: nowadays,I have much more confidence with freewares! I may tell for instance comodo security programs, avast antivirus, drivesentry, spywareterminator, threatfire, pctools firewall and so on.

Definitely some sound advice. I too paid for PS and am sorely disappointed at its demise, i have a lifetime license and cannot even use it to activate the product anymore. Thankfully system safety monitor and ghost security suite (which i also have a licenses for) both still seem to be alive for the time being, although development is going very slow.

I did not want to try it out as the setup file is not in English? Is it normal?

    Agree 110% with ya

When peeps wake up to find this super generous offer they are going to go Ga! Ga!

As for me, i'm in big TROUBLE. I still don't completely understand the configurations of it like i would like, so gonna have to dig up some posts here, tips there, and rely on what i remember of the 1.43 i already used before. They seem the same and probably are, but here comes another HIPS to learn all over again.

I do like the full screen immobility feature when it detects something to alert on, the rules setting on-the-fly is nice too, but this ProSec has more settings, at least in IMO, then SSM ever did.

    Anyone got a manual handy?

I'll take the apps advice and run it in Learning Mode awhile first as recommended so i don't lock myself out of the system, but at any rate this is just what i was suggesting they do some posts back, and boy howdy did they come thru for us.

As i have said before with regards this software in a previous thread that only links to the official website be or an approved website be used. This has not been the case in this thread so therefor it's now closed

    Regards
