    Hello supdeco1,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Server Backup software.

    Working with tape drives has some peculiarities. They are accessible through the Acronis Backup Server or using Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server local version. So in order to save backups to tape drives you should install Backup Server and attach tape drive to it. In order to run backups remotely you should install Acronis True Image Agent to the server you wish to back up. So Agent installation and Backup Server availability will let you backup the server remotely and save backups on the tape drive.
    If the server crashes you'll always be able to connect to it using Acronis Bootable Agent (even if Windows crashed) so that you can restore the image created earlier.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I've installed on a server A (which has got the backup cartridge) the agent, the console, the group server, the back up server, and the full enterprise

    I'm connected with the console with the 127.0.0.1 and i can back up the server A onto the group server icone, wicha have the backpcardridge.

    I'm arrived to do the same with the server B, in install agent remote, and back to the backup cartridge's on the server A.

    But i don't find, into the group task menu, how i can do to backup on a backup cartridge"s A, the both 2 servers.

    I don't find too, where is the option to erase automatically the cartridge...

    Thank you

    Hello supdeco1,

    Many thanks for your answer.

    If I've understood you correctly your servers configuration is the following one:

    - Server 1, where Group Server, Backup Server, Management Console and True Image Agent are installed.
    - Server 2, where Agent is installed.
    - Tape drive is attached to Server 1.

    In order to create group task you should follow this step-by-step (scenario is also described in the Chapter 4.4 of the User's Guide):

    - Click Acronis Group Server item in the Management Console;
    - Click New in the left part of the screen under Group Tasks menu;
    - Check the computers to be backed up;
    - Choose disk (or partitions) to be backed up;
    - Choose Backup Server's tape as a destination backup place;
    - Set the rest options.

    Full backup can be saved on an empty tape only. If the tape is not an empty one you'll get a corresponding prompt. If you wish to disable it you should go to Tools -> Options -> Default Backup Options -> Additional Settings and set "Overwrite data on a tape without user confirmation" option to "Disabled". Tape will be overwritten automatically.

    ok i have the option to disable in additional settings into the full local mode of acronis, but i don't have it into the group task option.

    Secondly, i can't do fullbackup of two servers. it is possible to view incremental mode. could you explain how i can do it.

    thank you
