    Hey everyone :)

    I have a 2PC 3Year ESET NOD32 License that was purchased from the UK online store when the latest version of NOD32 was 2.7. The license username starts with AV-********.

    I have exactly 2 years remaining on this license, and I'm currently using it on 2 machines with ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0.669.0. I wish to upgrade this existing license so that I can use Eset Smart Security (still 2PC - and presumably it would still have the same expiration date (26/07/2010).

    I've found this webpage here: https://secure.eset.co.uk/order/migratelicence.asp

    Is this the correct process?
    What will happen after I upgrade. Do I receive a new username to use with Eset Smart Security presumabely starting with ESS-******** - and my old AV- license is deactivated?

    Does upgrading the license add any time to it, or will I still keep my old AV-******** license to use with ESS.

    Thanks in advance. :)

    Answered my own questions :)
    Went ahead and filled the form out, paid etc. Instantly received a new username/password via email for an ESS license (strangely starting "EAV-" -- would have expected "ESS-", is this normal?) for the same number of machines/time.

    Not sure what happens to my old NOD license that I migrated, I'm not using it now though, but presumabely it's been disabled etc?

    @Cytoned'

    The user name starting with EAV seems ok, my ESS license user name starts with EAV not ESS also.

    Assume that the older licenses would have been deactivated. In any case if you want to revert to EAV or NOD32 V2 the new ESS licenses will allow you to download/use them instead of but not in addition to ESS.

    regards

    An ESS "EAV-********" license will work with ESS and EAV.

    An EAV "EAV-********" license will work only with EAV.

    It seems a bit unprofessional to have identical-looking licenses for two distinctly different products.

    So it's renewal time. Cost difference to renew for ESS over EAV is very low. I can install EAV with ESS license is what I am reading here, right? I'd imagine my LAN to stay with EAV, but my Laptops to use ESS..
