Sorry guys I did a search and came up dry perhaps it has been talked about already so i appologize if this thread is redundant.

Anywho I am thinking of drasticaly altering my security setup and switching from Nod32 to KAV 8 and Killing off Comodo for Outpost 2k9.

Just wondering if anyone knows weather these two apps play nice together or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you advance.

KAV and Outpost work together but - the outpost web content filter is disabled.

With NOD you can still use the outpost web content filter

so either seem fine under vista 32 .... I settled on Outpost + NOD or KIS

Thanks man, I ended up installing both programs without a hitch.

Kaspersk is a little heavier than Nod but Outpost is much lighter than comodo so I guess it balances out.

Only thing I don't like about Kav so far is that when i disabled their web and email/im protection, I didn't like that when i loaded the eicar txt file through IE nothing happened... But when i enabled web protection and did it again, it alerted me...

I kinda thought no matter weather web protection was on it should see a threat on my box weather it was in a browser or not... Ohh well guess I leave web protection on.

    Cheers

Some people in these forums are installing OP 2009 before NOD AV would this still be the case with KAV? It seems the general rule is to always install AV before FW?

Looking at each software features, and after using both of them ,not together,i'm surprised that some of those who have them installed are happy campers, even with outpost web content disabled.

Running perfectly here to be honest I am quite pleased for the time being. And yes I installed OP first before KAV. Really quite a nice setup, this OP is miles beyond V.4 or 2k8 Agnitum finally got their act together. And well KAV is KAV i have a license for Nod32 as well but I use KAV on this box and I do the most downloading on it, and I trust it's detection a tad more.
