    Hello,

ESET NOD32 Antivirus v3.0.669 have been released in English for licensed users, with support for other languages and trial editions to follow. This release contains the following change:

    • Fixed problem with tasks scheduled to be performed after a successful update.
For more information, or to download a copy, please visit ESET's web site at http://www.eset.com/download/ or contact your local distributor or reseller.

Installation over previous versions of ESET NOD32 Antivirus is fully supported, however, if you experienced issues with a previous version then you may wish to uninstall it before upgrading to this version.

If problems persist, try uninstalling the software once more and deleting the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus" directory (or under Vista, "C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus") prior to installing the current version of the software once more.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

Yes, a newer version was necessary as it's a quite crucial bug.

    I see that NOD32 V3 didn't find a stable version...

I for one see that there is no software in the world that is 100% bug free and each requires updates that fix certain issues (including v2 as well as any other software).

There are still problems uninstalling NOD32 which should have been corrected
with version 3.0.667. The uninstallation stopped halfway. It's becoming a major production to uninstall/reinstall. This really is unacceptable.

Hello, how long did you wait for finish? It's true that uninstallation progress takes some time, but ends successfully.

I just uninstalled Nod32 and it took a little more than two minutes.
A problem is seeing the message 'Done in 2 seconds' when it really takes more than two minutes to uninstall.

I just installed it over 667 and it took maybe 3 minutes without any problem, updates; everything working perfectly.:)
Restarting took maybe less that usual. Thanks

Guess you won't reach V2.7 performance. V3 should've never been released.

    Whine I now. Sorry.

Does anyone see the 3.0.669 64 bit version on there somewhere? I can't find it and i don't know if i'm just cross-eyed or it's not there.

Edit: "To download ESET NOD32 Antivirus and Eset Smart Security for 64-bit Windows Vista/XP version click here."

    Found it!

    I'm still at v2.7.

Have the cpu load / performance wrinkles been ironed out in the v3.0 series?

I'd love to upgrade, but as v2.7 been as smooth as butter for years now on several systems, I'm really not that ready to be disappointed in case v3.0 isn't as smooth a ride.

After downloading... why does the file "eav_nt32_enu.msi" have the ".txt" extension added on the end of it?.....

I downloaded it on a vista machine.

BTW.. this does seem to be a pretty intense update.. I see allot of new features in the advanced toggle settings.

Can someone give a little more information on what this version fixed? What tasks were not running that should have been after an update?
