Digital photo frames?

    The Mrs. has a B-day coming up. With a new Grand-son and multiple pets she has become quit a picture fanatic. :rolleyes: Any suggestions on a good quality digital frame? o_O

    Hope this is not to OT for the forum.

    If you can get to an outlet where they are on display, you can see them in action.
    One store here has a dozen or more, in various shapes, sizes, prices.

    ThunderZ, I have a 7inch digital photo frame with all the family photos on.

    I got mine from the local Argos store but as Rmus said, it could be useful to see one in action at your local store. However most of them seem to be okay in the mid to high price range.

    Check which kind of storage card it uses and away you go. I tend to not store in folders, instead opening each folder in 'my pictures' before copying them to the card.

    Guess it could happen. Would never have thought of that. Though most that I have looked at have accommodations for memory cards and can not or never need to be connected to your PC.

    May have to do that. I just hate shopping, doing most of my buying on line from trusted sites.

    Thanks for the info. Who is the manufacturer of the frame. Have read reviews on several. It`s the same old thing.....some love them, some hate them. I`m looking in the $100+ U.S. range. Would spend more but there are other things she would like as well. :blink:

    No manufacturer's name, just made for Argos a big catalogue outlet store here in the uk.

    Resolution 480x234 which is pretty reasonable. Takes most cards and usb sticks. Also plays avi files.

    It does for me as it'll get to where you forget to turn it on sometimes!

    Mine cost around £70 I think (around 118 us dollars)

    We are both animal lovers. Currently 1 large dog and 5 cats. They are more Family then pets. What can I say. :D

    For a wide range of what is available, the first two sites below cover a big price range. They are both excellent online camera retailers that indulge in none of the shenanigans that many do. Search on "digital picture frame". I've never had a digital frame so can offer no personal recommendation.

    Thank you CatFan432. Have been confining most of my searches and purchases to newEgg. Not always the cheapest. But always competitive and 100% trust worthy. IMO

    Have a look at frys.com. I ordered my CPU from them on a Friday afternoon and it was here in WV on Monday morning. They are based out of OH and are in the same city as DHL that does their shipping.

    I did read many bad reviews on them, but my experience was great. I used the 1-877 number to place my order. DHL also has you sign for the package unlike some shippers that leave the package on your doorstep :cautious:.

    Also, the trojan story was real, there should be some mention of it here at Wilders somewhere.
