    To all SafeSpace users.

As you may be aware, Artificial Dynamics is a subsidiary company of the AppSense Group Inc.
Artificial Dynamics consisted of a small team of developers who created the virtualization engine which made SafeSpace possible.
In April, the technologies used in SafeSpace were re-acquired by AppSense Ltd and Artificial Dynamics has since been disbanded. As a result, we have only been able to offer limited support to end users.

Version 2.0.41.0 was our last official release. Limited support will still be available via the Artificial Dynamics support forums, and SafeSpace will continue to be hosted on Download.com – free for personal use.

Our patented virtualization technology is now being utilized within AppSense user environment management solutions to enable dynamic personalization of physical and virtual corporate desktops.
If you’d like to know more about these solutions please visit http://www.appsense.com.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to try SafeSpace. Your feedback helped us develop a great security product which is today being used by several thousand home users.

I will continue to visit these forums regularly and help out with any SafeSpace related topics that occur.

    Best regards,

    Kris.

    Artificial Dynamics.

thats a shame Tidy, Good man, good software. Only wish you the best, but I guess this is what happens when you give FREE software away. Again, best wishes, really.

There goes another option for people. Free isn't the problem, Comodo, JavaCool, and many others do just fine with free software. Perhaps the virtualization market is just flooded and SafeSpace just didn't get the attention it needed and deserved? Not to mention that for the majority of your average users, this tech is still brand new if not unknown to them.

I liked it a lot but had to take it away...found a bug (has to be), when writing @ on the keyboard the red border disappeared and safespace was closed down from tray...The same in both FF and Opera...
I also wish Kris all the best...

*sigh*... I figured the long silence on their forums and here was not promising.

Well Trjam, what are our options now? I really liked SafeSpace, anything similar to it? Pay for or free.

Well, you still have DefenseWall and GesWall. Both are highly regarded here. I found both way too slow to use on my system.

I would agree, ShadowDefender,Returnil,Bufferzone, Sandboxie. There are plenty but it was one of a kind. I would download while you still can.

I would agree. Luckily, I've got SafeSpace 1.2.145 and 2.0.41 squirreled away on a pen drive.

    Later...

SafeSpace to date is a great accomplishment and I'm sorry to hear that development will not continue to make it even better. Good to know though, that SS 2.0.41.0 will remain available and supported.

I am sad to hear this. I liked it really. I will miss it. Sadly it died before it could evolve fully. It,s bad.

Anyway good wishes for u, TidyUp. I was not expecting so BTW.

    TidyUp,
I should have stated this in my first post in this thread but...sorry to hear about the discontinuation of development for SafeSpace. Great application. Best wishes to you and other developers in your future endeavors.

    Hi Tidyup,

I must say that eventhough SS was quite a powerful sandboxing tool, I was never really a big fan of it because of usability issues, but still it certainly was quite an interesting tool, especially from a technical point of view. Of course best wishes to you, and may I ask what you´re planning to do next, and how will Appsense exactly use SS into their products?
