What's up with F-Prot?

We don't see or hear much about them here at Wilders anymore? Are they just lying low for some reason?

they did get the Vista compatibility issues worked out. I am sure they have some solid plans coming up.

A license is for 5 computers. Do they need to be connected or could i for example install it here and on a family member's pc wich is not in the same household?

It must be the same household. This is common among other anti-malware apps with multi-licenses. You would need to opt for the Corporate version.

 

Thank you Elite. Regarding the Corp. version, it's 34 euro's for 10 computers wich is extremly cheap! So i may use the same license for different households/adresses? I only need 2 though, 1 for me and 1 for my bro who lives in the next city.

Oh yer since i don't own any corp wouldn't that be illegal or sumtin?

How does F-Prot compare in detection to all the other companies?

I would like to see them add signature updates more than once a day.

They have good heuristics, but is it enough nowadays...

 

Probably not- the heuristics are fairly good, but it is not a top tier AV in my judgment.

f-prot is your perfect contendor in a layered security setup. Their heuristics is a priority to them right now and will show that off in the future, it's light, easy to use meaning u dont need to tweak anythingh so full protection from the start, fps r minimal, they got a dang good reputation all in all it's a very reliable software.

 

Frisk is unfair to people who have only one computer at home. Like me, for instance. (sob)

what about your deal with Inspector... weren't you successful?

 

I had expected, and hoped, F-Prot would make significant improvements in its detection abilities. However, it seems not to have happened.

It is probably perfectly adequate for the average safe user, and the price is great if one has more than one computer.

The one time I tried it my system did not experience slow downs or problems. It ran well.
