I am using TI 11 and wondering if someone would help me figure out why my scheduled backup task won't run.

It ran fine for about 5 days and then stopped working and can't figure out why.

If I select it and click "start task", it runs fine. It just wont run automatically.

I have it set at 1.00 AM every day.

The logs show no attempt whatsoever to start the task. I can't find anything on event viewer either.

I have tried since re-installing TI. I have also removed the task and re-created it again. Did not help.

I am running Vista x64 and the backup location is a network share with plenty of space. Again, it backs up fine when running manually.

I have the same problem. If you look in the "Read Before You Post" thread you will find the instructions to install an updated scheduler, I did that but as you have noticed the scheduler "falls asleep" randomly. I have found that using the "Task Manager" and "editing" the schedule without changing anything seems to "wake it up" and it resumes until it falls asleep again. This works for me it may work for you.

I am not a technical guy, just a pragmatic hacker.

    Hello BigCat400,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Could you please clarify, if the computer is in sleep mode at the scheduled time? Please be aware that Acronis True Image will not wake up the computer, it has to be waked up before by other means. Please see this thread for some suggestions.

If the computer is not in sleep mode, but scheduled tasks still do not run, please follow the instructions in this post of the "Please read before you post" sticky thread.

    Thank you.

    Hello RitchieG,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Could you please clarify, do scheduled tasks sometimes not run even after the scheduler update? If that's the case, could you please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly?

Please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please collect Acronis Scheduler report the following way:
    - Copy schedmgr.exe file to the root of your c: drive
    - Click Start – Run, type in cmd, press OK and issue the following command:

    C:\schedmgr get report > schedreport.txt

    - Collect the schedreport.txt file in the root of your c:drive
    - Please run the schedmgr.exe program by double-clicking it from Windows Explorer
    - Enable logging by using the following command:

    set logflags support

    - Please reproduce the issue and collect the schedul2.log file which is placed to the same folder as the service file (program files\common files\acronis\schedule2)

It is recommended to turn off logging after troubleshooting by using the following command (from the schedmgr.exe command prompt):
    set logflags 0
    set lf_registry on

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will do our best to investigate the problem and provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
