Thanks for your monition, ok, I will make a report to my leader, wish we can make a forum as soon as possible. About the false positive of AVG8 and Mcafee, we will request them to fix this. the users can also submit this false positive, they will take more recognition if there have a lot of people feeds back.

The Twister has three trust list:

    1. Scan and realtime proetction trust list.
    2. Registry trust list.
    3. FDDS trust list.

You select is scan and realtime proetction trust list, so, it will not be scan again. In your case you may select Registry trust list, the way is click trust button in the bottom right corner of Registry alert window as the picture.

I am 95.99999% ready to purchase a Twister license -- in just 1 or 2 more days of satisfactory usage.

When I right click Twister's icon in my system tray, the pop-up menu has an item titled "Purchase." I would like to buy a license by clicking on "Purchase".

Has anyone else used the Purchase button to buy Twister? :doubt:

Same here. ;) I am quite pleased with the support and how often they respectfully reply to the questions of the consumers. How often do you get this here? Believe me, Chinese are hard workers and so far my experience with Twister is 5-star. :) Please continue to pop in here and keep us posted.:thumb:

    My cosmetic suggestions:

    1. Twister Anti-TrojanVirus Name: I've noticed the GUI is labeled as Twister AntiVirus V7 while the website has the TrojanVirus name. How about calling it Twister Anti-Malware and keep it consistent?

    2. Updates: I've noticed a balloon pop-up and and the world icon would turn on whenever the download is happening. Maybe a total transparent update would help as I don't want Powerpoint presentation to be affected with the balloon notice.

Well, now my Twister.exe is at 26MB. I noticed that this happens at startup and after an auto update. If i open the GUI and close it, the RAM goes back to 5 MB and stays there.

Just a thing to try in order to save some RAM. Probably i didn't notice it before since i was playing with the GUI all the time, so i was doing this RAM reducing routing all the time without me realizing it.

Filseclab, please review and comment, thanks!

I have noticed one thing that is causing me concern re: this program, the real time scanner is always returning to the My Pictures folder on one of my drives and continuously scans the .JPG files. There is NO good reason for the program to keep trying to 'scan' my photos. Also Threat Fire gave a High Alert on the Filseclab Msgnr program indicating the suspicious nature of it's reason to connect to the internet. The registry protector also flags SAS as suspicious, that's a big negative on that Ghost Rider!

When I ran an initial scan on my system it found 4 viruses and 3 trojans that no other A/V or spyware remover found (TF, SAS etc..), which was intriguing to say the least. The ironic thing is, when I Googled the file names, the only places that came up were either from the Twister site or various chinese language sites, hmmmmmmmmmm.

I WANT to like this program and no offense intended, but seriously, this program comes from Communist China; the world wide leader in spying on it's Citizens (do some research the Golden Shield and the Great Firewall), how naive would it be to have this program out and about collecting world wide data?

I am in no way a political activist, computer security expert or a paranoid schizophrenic:) , but I'm going to need the Big Dogs of the A/V world give this program a clean bill of health before I can start getting that warm, fuzzy feeling by continuing it's use.

PS: it's STILL scanning (or should I say, reading) the My Pictures folder as I finish this post!

Hmm Actually I kind of think it's slack that you guys keep mentioning " It's Made In China "

Isn't everything else made in China? (they must be doing something right)
Aren't they one of the well educated countries?
Don't allot of countries employ Chinese workers into their countries?

Quote: but seriously, this program comes from Communist China; the world wide leader in spying on it's Citizens

This isn't from the Government of China for a start, they are a separate organization for themselves. And your information ExCavTanker isn't as important as you think yours is :p

I could care less what country it's made in there are people in China that are just as concerned as people in any other country about computer security. this AV is running just as or better than most AV I have tried and i have not had any funny things happen in a week of running this AV. :thumb: :thumb:

Regarding the post about "collecting data".. I can't say yes or no about that, but I have prevented the program from performing auto-updates and have blocked it from having any internet access. Now, there is no specific reason why I did that. I suppose I just prefer to have only "internet apps" connecting out. And besides, the updates can be downloaded manually from their website.

I did not want to turn this into a political rant, but I do stick by my words.

Now, back to the main points of concern I presented in the first two paragraphs: WHY does the program continue to randomly scan folders in realtime that 'I' am not accessing? This VERY suspicious activity is what led me to reference it's Country of origin.

If you read, I stated I WANT to like this app as it is very light. I do need to re-state something in my original post, when it came to the files that were found, the exact file name only came back to Twister or other Chinese sites, but if I dropped off part of the file name such as variant B or C and went with the main file versions they did show up on on other security app websites, so the confusion continues.

You're right, I won't judge a book by it's cover, but I still want to know if this is a legit competitor in the A/V field by those that can ;). Oh, my data really isn't that important:(?

I'd say perhaps you did it because of your sixth sense and experience. This program still has some vetting to be done.

Well aside from Firefox any program I have that can access the net is either going to be completely blocked, or severely limited. I just play it safe.

    Hi,

no one is forced to use this program, especially if he thinks that he can not trust it for some reason.
And if someone has clear and solid evidence for any dubious things, please show'em up.
Or does anyone like to run something down blended by prejudice.

    Cheers

Let's wait for Filseclab to respond about the mystery of scanning the photo folder before a drama starts escalating. :D

    1. The first name is Twister Anti-TrojanVirus, we want to change it to Twister AntiVirus from version 7.0, but the rename project is not completely, we will finish it in the next version.
    2. Sure, we will remember this advisement and try to improve it in the next version.

The Twister's realtime scanner will scan every file activities, it scans your pictures should be caused by your these files is accessing by some software, the realtime scanner will mark what process is accessing your file, the format is "process name/accessing file path and name", example: explorer.exe/c:\windows\test.txt means the explorer is accessing to c:\windows\test.txt. you may find what process is accessing your picture based on my hint. but this absolutely is NOT the Twister want to collect your information, the Twister will not collect anything from your computer without your permission.

It found the virus from your computer means it works, there have a lot of virus surely is come from China because there have 1.3 billion people, but there still have much more viruses are come from other countries. the virus maker may not the bad guys for all of them, maybe they just are a new programer brimming over with curiosity, they just want to show them technology, they do not want to destroy somthing or steal somthing. But for an antivirus creator, we only have one intention, find and destroy the viruses and give you a clean computer.

Every country has the bad guys, but I think the mostly is the good guys, otherwise, the world was beaten down long time ago. it has the problem if you judge a country based on one simple thing like a Communist Country.

I can say our software has not to do the bad things, but you have the rights to choose it or not.

    Best Regards

My compliments with this nice AV scanner. I find it very easy to configure, as advanced options are plenty for the freaks. It runs very light and the updating is just great. I'll give it a try for 90 days and then I'll see about a purchase. For € 25,= in Europe you buy a lifetime license.......well what can I say! Just fantastic! :thumb:
