    Hi,

Since the last few days, ekrn.exe kicks into 100% CPU resulting in a non responsive computer during the update process via Windows Update.

    [Removed]

If I untick the Real-time protection, no more high CPU during this process. :doubt: I never had a problem with Nod32 3.0.xxx in the past under Windows Vista (1 years+).

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 EN x86
    Antispyware: Windows Defender
    Antivirus: Nod32 Antivirum 3.0.657
    Signature database: 3125
    Settings: EAV 3.0 Tutorial - 15 Jan 2008

    Edit: More infos >

    Virus signature database: 3126 (20080523)
    Update module: 1024 (20080514)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1115 (20080522)
    Advanced heuristics module: 1071 (20080509)
    Archive support module: 1079 (20080509)
    Cleaner module: 1030 (20080513)

    Thanks in advance

Hummm, build 367 of Nod32 3.0 is problematic? I never had this kind of problem with older builds in the past under Windows Vista.

Okay, unable to reproduce this problem with build 650 of Nod32 3.0 under Windows XP and Windows Vista. I upgraded Nod32 3.0.650 to 657 under my Vista installation and after the upgrade, same problem on this computer > Windows Update + ekrn.exe = 100% CPU.

Same problem > 100% CPU with Windows Update (2x Vista x86).
