Hi. I use NOD32 v3 and Firefox 3. I download files by this browser and have problem with NOD32. When downloading finishes NOD32 uses 100% cpu. And there's freeze of my pc. I didn't have similar problem with Avira Antivir. Can I solve this problem. I'd not like to use different soft than NOD32 but this problem sucks.

ps Thanks in advance for help:)

    Hi!

Do you use web access module in active or passive mode?
What file do you download? (type and size)

There are 78 files inside the installer, on my computer it took 4 seconds for NOD32 to scan them all.

    I asked for this:

Setup -> Antivirus and antispyware -> Web access protection -> Configure -> HTTP -> Web browsers -> Active mode

Is your browser checked or unchecked?

I've myself experienced Nod32 choking on some files (mostly packed files).

I'm having the same problem when many installer executables. I've been using NOD32 for 6 yrs, and this just began in the last week or so.

The problem is occurring for me whenever an installer executable is copied on my system (like just after being downloaded). Ekrn.exe takes 100% of the CPU. Small files (a few MB) takes several minutes for ekrn to finish. I'm still trying to download a 150MB software update that aborts because ekrn runs for over an hour after the download portion is completed.

If anyone can shed some light onto this, please do. This is very un-NOD32 like behavior.

    TIA
