    Just stopped by the forum after finding no update on the main site to TI11 and I see nothing has changed. The unbridled arrogance of this company is beyond belief.

    I purchased the "upgrade" to TI11 in December, found it was actually slower than TI10 so stopped using it. Have surfaced from holidays and other commitments so thought I'd see try whatever update had been issued... ha ha!
    Tried TI11 on my recently upgraded rig;
    Core 2 Duo E6750, Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L, Western Digital 500GB SATA II;
    running standalone I canceled backup after about an hour when it said it had 12 hours to go... TI10 completed the same backup/verify in less than 20 minutes.

    I gather this is the the "updated" Linux stand-alone environment showing its quirks. What a joke... can't be bothered to push for a refund but am very irritated and have stopped recommending Acronis to friends. Come on Acronis - sort this while you have a shred of credibility left!

    Well it's six days since i started this thread and still no rection from Acronis, i find this very disturbing and very annoying, the least Acronis could have done is make some sort of statement but it seems that Acronis have choosen to ignore this thread instead, i think this lack of response, for me, may have put the final nail in the coffin for ATI and i think i wiil be seeking and recomending an alternative.

    I find it very hard to swallow what Acronis are doing in regard to ATI updates and ignoring it's customers, it's left a very bitter taste in my mouth, but, there maybe, and i mean maybe, still time for Acronis to redeem themselves if they would just take the time and courtesy to respond to this thread and let us know what the situation is in regard to ATI updates.

    Although it doesn't excuse the lack of response, don't take it too personally. I don't think I've ever seen Acronis respond to threads generally questioning their policies or practices.

    No updates to 11 for five months ?

    Think of how the people who bought ATI 10 feel who never got a Vista-compatable upgrade ?

    This happens fairly frequently. A new version breaks something that worked previously, and hardware support is one of those items.

    I wonder why they drop out drivers rather than just add new ones. The CD has lots of room and it certainly irritates a customer to lose support.

    I don't think most care whether they respond. We just want an update that fixes problems created by TI 11. 10 was defective in that Vista could not be restored without doing a repair from the install DVD. Now 11 breaks things that worked in 10. :rolleyes: In short customers want what they originally paid for. Forcing us to grab out ankles and pay for 12 without any grease is not going to fly. :thumbd:

    I think the isssue with drivers is due to the new linux version on the boot CD, so the old drivers don't necessarily work.

    Where do you see this? I don't see it in the registered products page.

    I saw a reference to that later build in another posting. It appeared to be for the French language. My knowledge of French is ≤ zero.

    That's where I saw it .... in another thread. Didn't know it was the French version. Sorry to raise anyone's hopes. ;)

    Well said. I totally agree with every word of it. But unfortunately, some companies will never apologize for any inconveniences they've caused their customers, then wonder how their business went down hill.

    Hello everyone,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    We are sorry for delayed response.

    Please be aware that our Development Team is constantly working on creating new builds. All created builds then undergo a period of extensive testing. There are currently plans to eventually release new builds of Acronis True Image 11 Home. We apologize for any inconvenience the delay may cause.

    Thank you.

    Thanks for the reply, but, this answer doesn't explain why we've waited so long for a new build of ATI 11, five months is a very long time between builds considering the problems ATI 11 has, also can i add that your answer, while appreciated, doesn't give us any real hope as you haven't give any indication as to when the new build will be available, also will we see ATI 12 before ATI 11's issues are fixed.

    Thanks!

    So what software are you using that performs satisfactorily?

    At the moment i'm using ATI 10 which i find a lot more stable and has a lot less bugs than ATI 11, ATI 11 is just a mess at the moment and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

    I broke out in a cynical smile at the reply from Acronis .... thinking that they left out some words at the end of the sentence that ends "extensive testing". Anyone else see the omission? :rolleyes:

    10 wouldn't work with my RAID & Vista. They sent me about 6 different "test" images and none worked. I went BACK to Ghost and that REALLY sucked and then tried 11. 11 seems to work fine (at least all my scheduled backups and verify work). I guess the real test will be if I ever need to restore an image. I only do FULL SYSTEM backups (no incrementals).
