Am I right in thinking it's perfectly safe to run AVG 8 Free and Treatfire alongside each other on the same laptop. I'm using XP Professional.

    Thanks for the quick replies.
I've installed the newest version of Threatfire and am now running it alongside AVG 8. All seems okay.
    Thanks again.

Not running it on my box but have it on another family computer running Vista and AVG8 free. The auto update had installed 3.5.0.21 and there were some TF messages warning of an unsafe program (which was in fact OK). The warning panel was freezing and did not look right. To be safe, uninstalled TF 3.0.14.16 and then installed 3.5.0.21, especially in view of Firebytes post, (keeping the previous settings). Everything seems fine now.

Sorry - my post above. Other computer running Avira 8 free not AVG.
Why are all these program names so similaro_O LOL
Ignore my comments except that reinstalling solved the glitch under Avira.
