Although people had negative experiences here, i must say that i always was a
    happy TDS-3, Wormguard,Processguard,Port-Explorer etc. user.
And i personally had never any problems, so i guess that i will be the first to buy, and let you know how things go.

    Like i said above,
I posted the info so interested people would discuss what is going on.
I do not recommend you buy anything from them. It's not about the old DiamondCS, it's about whatever happened to it.

There is no guarantee whatsoever they are still the same people. No e-mails are replied, old customers ignored, and so on.

Read the thread if you haven't!

I might try emailing them and see if they respond. I have also purchased everything they did, beta tested for them, and I've emailed twice with no response. Also another member tried purchasing, and never got a license. Caveat Emptor

It's obvious that is not Wayne. :( No one can change their writing style significantly enough to not be recognized by those who have interacted many times with the person on websites. That is not Wayne. I wouldn't touch the application either.

    Hello friends and colleagues,
It has been a long time. Some of you have sent me private emails of support which is why I've returned here, and I wanted to publically acknowledge my gratefulness - it really means a lot to me, and gives me even more drive to make this program even stronger.

Last year I was hospitalized for quite some time after being involved in a car accident that was no fault of mine, and being a very small business we were heavily affected by this. Things seemed to go downhill quickly while I was in hospital, I can understand why but I regret that there wasn't anything I could do about it.

The timing of my incident couldn't have been worse, as myself and my fellow software engineer have spent a lot of my time and money developing the most advanced security program that DiamondCS has ever released, and it has taken well over a year of research & development to get this far. Almost every dollar made from TDS, ProcessGuard and Port Explorer sales has gone into development of this single program.

There are a few anti-rootkit programs available at the moment - not many because it's not easy to develop such software, but I think you'll find that if you compare our Deep System Explorer program to existing anti-rootkit programs you'll be able to find out A LOT MORE about your system than you otherwise would have.

I promise you that when you run Deep System Explorer for the first time you will learn things about your system that you never knew before, even if you've run every other anti-rootkit or anti-hook program before.

Deep System Explorer isn't even a specific anti-trojan program, yet it can detect LIVE rootkit-style trojans that no other existing anti-trojan scanners can detect.

I encourage you to take some time to look at the Detection Examples:
    http://www.diamondcs.com.au/dse/detections.php
This includes comprehensive detections of some of the most advanced rootkits in the world, as well as a plethora of other attacks.

In short, my health is definitely back to good now, and we're back on schedule and looking forward to releasing more unique security software just like in the good old days. :)

We thank everyone for their support and look forward to making the first public beta available very soon - only a matter of days :)

    Best regards,
    Wayne

[edit] ps Mele20 my friend, i havent changed my writing style! :)

    Hello again Wayne

Didn't know about the accident, and sorry to hear that you were hurt. Glad is well and would love to see you make a return.

I'll be very curious about the new product, and also hope the customer area will be re opened for all of the original customers of DCS.

    Best wishes,

    Pete

    Peter,
It's good to hear from you my friend. I am quietly confident that this program will blow your socks off :) I am very proud of TDS, ProcessGuard and Port Explorer, but this program - Deep System Explorer - goes far beyond any existing program we've created, and far beyond virtually any anti-rootkit/anti-hook program in existance, as you'll see from the Detection Examples webpage.

I've checked through our email but I don't seem to have one from you, so if you have sent one as you've indicated that you might can you please let me know so that I can address it ASAP, thankyou!
    Best regards,
    Wayne

Thankyou very much for your concerns mate, but I'm very happy to say that I can now definately say I'm going to make a complete recovery (touch wood!). Several months ago I wasn't so sure of that so this outcome has come as a great thrill to myself, my family and friends, kind of like a second chance at life, and it has fired me up to try to accomplish even more, which simply means that I will be driving myself and my fellow software engineer even further to get this program out ... it has already taken well over a year of research & development (and cost nearly all savings made from ProcessGuard/Port Explorer sales) which is longer than any other program we've released and much more expensive than any other program we've developed, but having seen the detection results with my own eyes I can proudly say it has been worth it:
    http://www.diamondcs.com.au/dse/detections.php

If you know of any other program that has anti-rootkit and anti-hook detection with as much thorough coverage as that then PLEASE, let me know - we've tested every public anti-rootkit and anti-trojan program available but haven't quite found a match yet :)

    Best regards,
    Wayne

That's added extra interest to my day :)

Hello Wayne & best wishes with this new development.

I understand this is a beta, is it expected that this will conflict with other onboard security programs, if so are any known yet?

    I'm thinking firewalls, AV's, HIPs.

Several people have made various harsh comments on how DiamondCs "disappeared" overnight in the past, but myself, being an ex PG Free user, can't complain about anything, on the contrary i remember fondly that little program that together with SSM introduced me to the HIPS world. So,

Welcome back Wayne and best wishes for your health and professional future. :argh:

    Thankyou kindly sir! :)

Actually, no. This program is very 'independent', and should have very few conflicts with other software including resident security software. The main reason is that this is not a pro-active system (ie. it isn't running 24/7 like ProcessGuard does, nor does it hook into your operating system at all so it is very friendly in that sense, despite its depth in being able to detect the worlds most advanced rootkits). You choose when to run it. And no, simply by starting the program that doesn't/shouldn't cause any problems with any other security programs at all.

    Best regards,
    Wayne

OK well well, and now the deluge..
No doubt there will be a torrent of posts here.
I for one am very happy to see DCS back up and on "it's" feet.
@Wayne: Very happy to hear that your recovery has gone so well. :)

Very saddened to hear there was such a catastrophe for you and family.
    You were greatly missed.

Good luck for now and the future.
    Best wishes.

Thankyou for your kind comments, and I'm proud that my software has helped defend your computer and keep it clean for many years. :)

Unfortunately we are only a small company (myself, another fulltime programmer and a secretary -- im lousy with paperwork :)
So when I was hospitalised it put a big 'dent' in my company, and being hospitalized there was nothing I could do about it. Unfortunately, in the public eye I will be paying for my hospital stay for quite some time to come as I understand that not everybody knows what has happened and many have made up their own opinions, which I guess is fair enough, albeit very disappointing, but it won't stop me getting back to doing what I do best - developing unique, advanced security software for Windows.

So to those people I simply say ..... please judge software on its own merits - download it, run it and judge it for yourself. :)

Thankyou everyone again for your support, it means a heck of a lot to me, especially seeing as the Wilders forums have played such a crucial symbiotic role in the history of DCS software, dating back to the 90s. Paul mate I hope you're doing well!!! :)

Hi Wayne, welcome back and we're happy you've recovered

Will there be further development of your other programs as well, especially
PG which I and many others are still faithfully using?

Extremely sorry to hear of the circumstances of your absence. So very, very happy to hear of your recovery.
I for one did urge extreme caution in d\l`ing\buying any thing from the DiamondCS site, hope you understand.
Though reformatting and fresh installs on my PC number among the least favorite things on my to do list. I am extremely happy to find I can now install the paid for Vers. of PG again. Have been searching for some time to find a replacment for it.....never felt as comfortable with any of the alternatives.

Welcome back Wayne. Here is to your continued health and well being. :thumb:

    Hi Wayne,

I am also very glad to see you are back and fighting fit again, cant wait to try out the new programme Deep System Explorer as well.
I would also like to know if you plan to do anymore developement on Process Guard, I am still using the last version 3.410 and I think is it very good, looking forward to all up and coming software programmes in the near future.

PS I KNOW ALL OF YOUR TIME HAS BEEN TAKEN UP WITH THIS NEW PROGRAMME Deep System Explorer, but any info on more developement of PG would be very much appreciated.

Yes I am happy to say that there will definately be an upgrade to ProcessGuard soon, but we intend to release Deep System Explorer first, as DSE is an even much more powerful security system than ProcessGuard! (The two compliment each other very well - ProcessGuard being proactive, DSE being defensive/retaliatory) :)

And it goes without saying that if you're already a registered user of ProcessGuard then you'll be able to get the next ProcessGuard upgrade for FREE.

    Best regards

Uh, i think this news will shake a lot of people in this forum. The PG followers were quite a lot and i think many still appreciate it although more HIPS are available today. PG had the advantage of running VERY light on CPU and RAM usage (unlike other HIPS that tend to slow down or run heavy). Honestly the major thing i missed in PG was an "auto clean" function to delete non used rules, instead of having to do it manually.

Good luck for the DSE, but i think the good old PG will attract MANY users.

Glad to hear you again Wayne, and of course I wish you all the best
This is great :D Here at Wilders I was/am mostly a lurker but I'm a proud owner of your creations
Think that I've never uninstalled TDS because from time to time I'm still using its utilities/plugins :thumb:

I'm not a customer, and you don't know me from anywhere heh, so my opinion is not that important (got here late i guess), but i like many others did get interested in WG and PG.

I'm glad you and DiamondCS are back. And now i know that there was a good reason for the silence. I hope you fully recover.

But do realize the words of caution to others were justified. No one knew anything. Support forums went down, etc.
It's still puzzling, because like you say, you're not the only one working there. One carefully written message on the website would do plenty. :/

Yes, you'll find that all of our software is very light-weight by design. :)
For example many of our freeware applications are less than 100kb. "Bloatware" annoys me just as much as it probably does you. We design our software to be as lightweight and efficient as possible, and if that means using inline assembly language to speed up algorithms then so be it.

Interesting idea, we'll definately have to take it into consideration for this next release - thankyou for your input. :)
