My laptop running Vista Premium + UAC + NIS2008 + NAB usually runs light no problems. Yesterday wend to ESET online virus check and it finds this:

    Trojan-Downloader.Java.OpenStream.c

Can't find much out about this trojan but was a bit worried that NIS 2008 missed it. Should I be? Now considering ditching NIS 2008 and buying ESET Security Suite.

    it could be a FP.
nod32 seem to detect some FP's as real threat sometimes, so if i were you i would check that file.

And suppose NIS did miss it? And you did switch to Nod32..... what makes you say that Nod32 never misses anything? Do a search here on the forums, I think you'll be surprised to find out that Nod32 also misses things from time to time.

Regardless how good your protction is eventually it will miss one. You can't let one incident sway your trust in your protection unless the misses are a regular event. Then it might be time to be looking for different security. But one miss ever so often is a common event among security apps.

Appreciate your comments guys - ESET online scanner deleted the file from my PC.

Will stick with NIS, NAB for time being has done me fine up till now.
