what is improved in this new version?
it's bad they dont show what they changed or added, they just put that a new version is released!

    Hello,
    installed the trial version.
the "close" option on the right click menu of the tray icon does this shut off the realtime protection or just hide the icon?
i clicked on it by accident so i lanched f-prot from program files and the tray icon option was still ticked in options but the tray icon didnt reappear until i logged off and back on.

I visited it some weeks ago and it was alive (the last entry was on August 2007 IIRC)

I could still access it. I took the main entry from the weblog down and contacted the hosting company. That should do the trick.

Unfortunately, abandoned blogs are very common and the hosting providers don't take the necessary steps to close them ASAP, leaving visitors to the risk of infection.

I'd rather trust the changelog. They may just not have updated the website.

I'm a fan of F-prot and had tried the beta version for Vista. My experience with it was wonderful. Even though it was beta, I had no issues (that I noticed) running it on Vista.

I think I will go and try the release. Maybe even buy a license when I have money :)
