I am Gerard and live, have fun in The Netherlands. East part between Zwolle and Deventer in a very small village.
gerardwil it is a pleasure to have you here at wilders. I would like to visit your country, but it is just a matter of money
Now that we're on a relatively new page of this, so that the poll results are visible while I read, I just noticed something interesting. We have one (count 'em, one) member in Antarctica, it appears. Would that be someone whose name I'd recognize (i.e., a relatively frequent poster)? I suppose I could wade back through this whole thread, but that's too much like work -- and of course the person could have simply "voted" without any additional comments. And another, related, question just occurred to me -- who on earth had the foresight to include Antarctica as a possible choice??
Including antarctica was thoughtful But then again I doubt that there are many countries that have power to run a computer that doesn't have a member or two here at wilders. And if cochises avatar is any indication they may send us a smoke signal.
I suppose "other" might have made more sense, for anyplace that didn't quite fit into the other choices. But I shudder to think what some of us clowns woud have done with that opportunity. The moon? Mars? Altair-4?
Hi I'm from England UK Living on the East Coast, spending most of my retirement running allotments and messing around on the computer.
Hi Brian, Welcome, have a Karma Cookie. Where on the east coast mate? I'm in Lincolnshire near Cleethorpes.
It is been a really long time since I have posted here. It is probably because I live in the most gorgeous place in the world and I am often distracted by my scenery. I am in the western US, in a valley surrounded by snow covered mountains with a beautiful lake in the middle. You will find me out and about in those mountains, soaking up the sunshine and the beauty!
I currently live in Tupelo, Mississippi(USA) Tupelo's claim to fame is being the birthplace of Elvis Presley. Actually, I live in a rural area outside of Tupelo, surrounded by cow pastures, and my greatest wish is that we could get high speed internet out here--dial-up stinks, but I guess it's better than nothing
Welcome dp, Pollux, tarren, billiev, Philo Vance ! Its great to have fresh faces and fresh views here in the forum. Don't hesitate to join in on anything you find interesting. Uguel
Riverside, Illinois USA - a quiet suburb of Chicago that looks like it could be a typical small town in Europe - beautiful! Jack
Tacoma in beautiful Washington State (about 30 miles south of Seattle) and just a stone's throw from Mt. Rainier which is a mecca for us climbers, skiers and hikers!
Thanks for posting Barron, it's just nice to know where you all come from. Set awhile and have a Cookie. regards, Cochise,
