Ahh, the weak dollar
27,60 Euro is a very good price for 4 quality AV engines. How much would you have to pay for Norman + AVG/Ewido + Dr. Web?

 

I agree with bellgamin; £22 in the UK for the discounted standalone AV is still expensive, despite 4 engines.

 

Price too high for what you are getting relative to other AVs that are just as effective. I do not like scans that take a long time either.

 

Really? Since when was norman and AVG quality?
I would rather pay for F-secure 19 pounds in england

Ok, since I am a Norman user, I will defend Norman in this case. Anyways, no antivirus is perfect, and as far as I know, McAfee isn't that much better, and not perfect either. Norman isn't the best, but it is good enough for regular users and Norman can be compared to other antiviruses. I know Norman isn't perfect, but it is not crap..

And they have had an good improvment with version 7.

Now, you also say AVG is crap. Do you really think AVG 8's engine is bad? They have combined the best from two worlds, and I guess you are just a regular user - like me - since when you say other antivirus programs is crap, you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Experts would know that AVG isn't crap, and I just guess you are a fan of McAfee, and dislike everything else. Ok, good enough. But can you show me some proofs or why you mean AVG is crap? Because they are doing worse than McAfee? Is that it?

I just want to know, why you have that opinion, unless you really have tested their technology in the hard way. It is just immature to say "lol, that antivirus is crap".

That is only one of the four engines.

Of course everybody has is favorite so do i ...
but i don't think it is fair to say the engines used are average.
It is important to keep up to date regarding the latest tests,
AVG was average in the past, but it has passed big names already.

As far as price, 2 computers covered by Dr Web would be close to what they are offering for Dr Web and three others. Go figure.

 

And Buck, when was the last time you did a full scan with Dr Web. I aint knocking it but , well, Rome wasnt built in a day either.
