Is there a way to stop Nod32 scanning my vista gadget. The gadget monitors my temperatures etc. I can open 1 of them and it constantly uses 10% of my cpu everytime the gadget updates the stats.

If I open more than one of them, it makes NOD32 use even more cpu even without that second one monitoring stats. o_O

It grabs the info from Lavlys Everest, the link to the gadget is here

Is there some way to stop it doing this?

Nope, it still hogs 10-11% of cpu and goes totally crazy if I add multiple versions of the gadget. There is also a massive spike of 50%+ when adding it.

I just tweaked everest to not use any cpu, but NOD32 still constanly uses 10% while running :(

    Thanks for the replies :S

Anyway the problem is indeed a NOD32 issue, and requires excluding the sidebar gadgets folder from scanning.

This issue needs to be fixed!

Here is the path to exclude ( uncheck show hidden folders ):

    C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar
