7.5 or 8.0 no new releases since too much time!!!

 

yes, it has taken a lot of time, there still ain't even a sniff of an alpha

 

New releases mean nothing. Existing functionality, fixes for known problems, and enhancements mean something.

I can only speak for myself, but I am OK with ZA on all counts. The existing functionality is sufficient, there are no known problems that affect my use, and there are few enhancements that would make a significant difference to me.

You are right, new releases mean nothing if no particular functionality are added, but some alert settings and some expert rules management improvements could be very useful (something like Outpost or KAspersky, where you are able to set exert rule directly from alert splash screen).

There is always room for improvement. I would like to see more detail in the logging in ZA.

 

I would like to see my PC not crashing whenever I try Fast User switching with ZAPro; for it to not slow to a crawl and for shut-down not to take ages.
All problems not manifest using an earlier release.

 

Works absolutely fine here...
Ealier 7 releases had some problems with shutdown on some users... but since version 408 onwards (we are at 7.0.470) shutdown works as it should.
Better you move to something else if it works so bad for you...

I am running ZAV on vista and it seems to be running just fine! Curious if Threat Fire plays nice with it? Any other apps run well along side it? Thanks!!

 

I ran ZAAV along with ThreatFire Pro on my XP Pro machine. They worked together just fine. Can't see a reason that it shouldn't be the same for Vista.
