(help) Zonealarm+utorrent=

hi.
I had along time ago zonealarm, and what i liked about zonealarm was mostely because it could found unhidden files that no other firewall could, (example)= i installed utorrent software then completely Uninstalled it, but even then it shows two .exe files tried to connect out /allow - /block, so i checked for those file-names at google and found those were files from Utorrent software and was on: C:\system32.
now i did i mistake and downloaded again Utorrent and uninstalled but i dont remember those files that were still trying to connect even that i uninstalled utorrent, and i dont have Zonealarm anymore, please what to do so i can find those Utorrent .exe files and delete them from C:\windows\system32, anyone?

 

afaik (and not just that, I have installation logs to prove) uTorrent does not install anything in system32 folder or any other folder for that matter except under Program Files/uTorrent and that being its own tiny executable. As for calling out, it is this same executable (utorrent.exe) that will do it and none other.
If you have doubts, I would suggest using an installation manager, such as Total Uninstall (example of what I use, but you can use a free one like Revo) that can show detailed logs of installations. Install it, then install uTorrent through it. After that, perform an uninstall and it will undo everything that uTorrent installation changed, including registry entries and the two possible phantom uTorrent exes from system32 folder.

uTorrent now a days doesn't even install anything in program files. All it does is place a desktop shortcut.

but tell me why the hell the speed is so so slow on Utorrent compaire to DC and other software?
i tested myself and i was using my bandwith max on Dc but on Utorrent it went so slowly ?

 

It would depend on many factors - the quality of torrent you're downloading (number of seeds and their upload speed), port forwarding on your router and sw FW, number of TCP SYN connections enabled on your TCP stack, your own upload limit (max isn't always the best), etc.

Upon installation, uTorrent installer will copy utorrent exe into Program Files\uTorrent (default) and delete itself when finished. There are some basic registry entries changed (.torrent associations i.e), and yes, a desktop shortcut creation, but this is pretty much all it does.
