Please help me making a rule for this software

Hello every one

I'm using the software Direct connect : http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net
But i can't use it properly with lns, i need to create a rule, unfortunately i'm totaly uncapable to do that

Can you please help me to create a rule so i can use the active mode with Direct connect ?

Active mode requires both TCP and UDP access on the same port for DC++ to work properly

First you need to set up the router to forward the connections to the computer with DC++. This is could be called Port mapping, port redirecting, port forwarding or something like that. Find out how to do this with your router/NAT in the user manual.
You need to forward one port (select a number between 1024 - 65535, they should mostly all be free. The default port is 1412, but it is wise to select a unique one) and make sure both UDP and TCP is forwarded.
The IP that you are forwarding to should be the internal IP address of your DC++ computer. It usually begins with "192.168", "172.16." or "10.x.". Go to the command prompt and type: ipconfig
When you have mapped a port, you need to open up DC++ and go to the settings. Where you select active mode, in the port field, enter the port number that you are forwarding on the router.
In the IP field, you need to enter the external IP address of your router. This can easily be checked on here. Sometimes your IP address changes, if you have a dynamic IP, when you disconnect from your internet connection. Check your IP every now and then to make sure. It should now be working. If it is working for a while, but the next time you use DC++, you only get "Connection Timeout’s or no results when searching, your IP is likely to have changed.

You are probably using EnhancedRulesSet.rls, am I correct?
If you are than you shouldn’t have any problems retrieving Direct Connect server-list, you should also not have any problems connecting a server.

But you probably experiencing problems retrieving user’s share-list, and downloading users shared files.

If you followed instructions you pasted you can make a rule exactly like shown in the attached Imaged. Keep in mind I used port 1412 so you must specify port 1412 in ++DCC port field.

Another thing keep this rule anywhere above the “TCP : Block incoming connections” rule. And also you should specify the ++DCC Application in “Applications…” so the rule isn’t always on even when you exit ++DCC…

I did exactly what u indicate me in this picture except that i had to create one for TCP & one for UDP, i couldn't choose both at the same time like you
Maybe this option is available in the latest ln's version
And i removed the red sign symbol to show the dot ... Is it correct ?

(one last question: if i use your rules set : Phant0m.zip, do i have to erase the old rules set & only use yours or can i use the EnhancedRulesSet.rls + you rules set ?)

Yea Look ‘n’ Stop v2.04p2 and later has that Feature, but anyways you did it all correctly…

Using another rule-set doesn’t mean you have to delete your previous rule-sets, it means you just switch like you had to-do when you switched from StandardRulesSet.rls to EnhancedRulesSet.rls, you didn’t delete StandardRulesSet.rls correct?

At the moment I’m reluctant to bring available a rule for Direct Connect Clients, because number of DC alike clients allows users to configure unique ports or uses randomly choosed ports for connecting, it would be confusing for most.

I plan to bring available rule section with Instructions for more efficiency.
