    Still the same here.

    Hardware firewall.

    Sandboxie configured to stop all outbounds.

    Returnil.

    Ghost images/clones.

    Only prob with this setup is it's too damn secure and boring without a need to ghost back in ages.:ouch:

    Very convenient is to config SBIE in a way that only your browser has rights to connect,anything other in this Sandbox is cut off,for example Keyloggers.

    Latest Routine SetUp:

    Really no risky surfing so only from a Google search that might lead to some IE exploit could raise alarms, but then SandboxIE'ed IE is contained anyway.

    I found this combo lite and effective for any routine trek thru the net.

    FD-ISR snapshot protected by either PowerShadow Master or Returnil RVS + EQSecure (4.0 Beta) + SandboxIE = Relaxed Surfing!

    It's a no lose scenario, there are others of course utilizing their own choices of various apps, but it all boils down to layering as usual.

    An exact duplicate copy = FD-ISR .archive is maintained and isolated from machine (unplugged) of working snapshot in event front line shielding could at all become compromised.

    I can initiate either Returnil/PowerShadow virtualization On-The-Fly, and in addition to also running IE browser or activating local executables with SandboxIE! so anything running is within this containment field.

    EQS alerts to anything signaling other files or attempting accesses with complete path & identification + intent ahead of the activity contact with the file system.

    This is my most very basic routine set up/security/protection.

    Yeah, stupid me! Of course I know that but Franklin writes outbounds and that's not the same than internet access atleast to me.

    outbounds ->
    inbounds <-
    internet access <->

    Yeah,outbound,there more ways that bad stuff shoot thru your firewall and all,what do you think a keylogger on your system with his own dedicated STPM server.SBIE in this case is helpless.

    So SBIE is helpfull only if you have a nasty free system,thats why i do regular ondemand scans with SAS and Cureit. ;)

    I keep changing between 2 setups:

    Outpost Pro 2008
    Nod32
    DefenseWall

    and

    Outpost Pro 2008
    Nod32
    SSM Pro
    Sandboxie

    Using Sandboxie makes browsing slower, so I keep going back to DefenseWall but then I want a proper HIPS if I install something as trusted and hence the cycle continues over and over again... :)

    Avira PE
    Sandboxie
    Mamutu- I really think this product is headed to the top, even better then EQsecure and SSM before it is said and done.

    Baically yes. The anti malware has the IDS portion so, yes. But I prefer Avira for my malware detection,;) and Mamutu for intrusion protection.

    Hi jtcst,

    Just be aware: OA does not monitor the startup folders - although of course, it will prompt if a program tries to run.
