I'm using the trial version some weeks now and ESET isn't finding anything at several scans I've performed. I'm using internet daily and download a lot of things. Is it possible that there is not even one thread all those days? With kaspersky in the past I was dealing with viruses almost at every scan...
I'm afraid that my com is FULL of viruses now and that I have to some other software to deal with them!!!

The fact that your ESET product doesn't detect anything mean that most likely you haven't come accross security threat . Test your protection with Eicar test file.

ESET products have real-time protection modules and it is not necessary to perform scans so regularly , simply because all access entries are being monitored automatically.

ESET blocked and quarantined the eicar test file and it is the first time ever ESET has reacted to ANY file or thread....
Excuse to be so not good informed, I was waiting to see at least a warning message like this above more often.
    Anyway, if you say so....

Your ESET product will inform you every time it has detected a threat , just you haven't seen one

Hilarious. An ESET product not detecting a threat means the user hasn't seen one.

I mean "you haven't meet one (online , for e.g.)" . Sorry for my typo.

Many here are looking to be infected. Nothing else explains constant infections, because user "error" is why they get infected in the first place. Any decent AV will protect you 99.9% of the time. Bad surfing habits will lower that statistic-a lot.

I meant exactly that, btw. My point wasn't aimed at your language.

I have had about three infections in about eight months of using ESS, both Beta and final versions. All were interceptions while surfing - big red notice asking for permission to quarantine. Never had a malware shown on regular scans. Thinking of reducing frequency of those to perhaps once or twice a week.
