When the scan is finished,I see all these : " error opening and password protected file "

Are these files scanned or not?

Unless NOD32 knows the password to these files how can it scan them?

NOD32 simply doesn't scan password protected files, since, yes, they are protected by an unknown password.

    Hi Shadek.

How do mean "protected unknow password'\",if I don't use a password.
It happens to the scanned files from Superantispyware.

Thanks for looking in this, Jacko:thumb:

If this issue is related to Super Antispyware, then perhaps you should try asking in some other part of this forum.

Anyhow, the files you mentioned are not scanned because they are protected in some way.

Most likely they are files that have been quarantined by Superantispyware. Superantispyware will apply the password to the files when they are quarantined and also use it if you decide to restore the file it quarantined. It stops people reinfecting their machines by opening the quarantine files.

It happens a lot with file quarantined by other apps.

Could also be modules or parts of the program they want to keep secret or safe from tampering. The program will apply the password "on the fly" as it needs it.
