How about look'n'stop? Its lightweight like nod32 and does not conflict.

    Don't use Outpost - that isn't compatible with Nod32.

Try Online Armor. It works well, with no issues. The free version is excellent.

Regarding ver 2.7, the following firewalls worked well with it on my machine:

    Outpost 2.x -2008
    Jetico 2
    Online Armor
    Look 'n Stop

Version 3.0 worked well with the first two but I don't know about the last two.

Nod32 v3 is working very well with Comodo v3 on my XP computer. I have not installed it on the Vista computer yet.

Well, Thanks for all the advice. I have been running Online Armor and I know that its works great with NOD32 but I wanted to see what others thought. I did not like Commodo Pro (very irritating). I read up on Look'n'Stop and it sounded goog but not as good as Online Armor. I just wonder now whether I should go with the Paid Version (Keylogger, etc) or is the Free Version good enough?

While you're running NOD32, why not use a program that is just as lightweight? Look N Stop is great, in my opinion. I haven't tried Online Armor though.

I ran Comodo with it for a year or so, and I've been using it with Online Armor for a few months. No problems.:)

Is Look'N'Smart better than Eset personal firewall?... Or it's time for me to buy ESS?

If you're using Look'n'Stop then there is no reason for ESS...stay with EAV.

    Get behind a NAT router.
    Software firewalls optional.

Outpost does work with NoD32 because i'm using it now....and this is on Vista Business.

I'm using Vista SP1 now and there have been some broken security programs with SP1. Outpost & NoD32 are okay....i think the well known programs that are an issue are Zone Alarm & Trend Micro.

Thanks for all the come back. I settled with Online Armor 2.1.0.95 and man is it a great program. I have not seen another Firewall that comes close. By the way there is a Promo right now for $15.00 off Online Armour Paid Version which is much more secure than the free version. To compare the two go to http://Tallemu.com Of course to use the promo go to the same link. The Promo Code is OAFEB

WOW that's an even better deal than the Christmas $10 off. Do yourself a favor and use the savings to get a 2 year maintenance agreement. I only took one year and I'm sorry I did. The support is great.

IMO if you are using Vista and want to run NOD v3.x then the Vista FW along with a good NAT router would probably be the best way to go. The other option would be to use ESS instead of NOD v3.x with Vista. If you want to use a firewall (ZA, OA, Comodo, etc.) other than the Vista FW or WinXP SP2 or SP3 FW then you should consider using NOD v2.7x to help avoid any potential compatibility issues. NOD v3 may appear to work with those other FWs but many users in this forum have experienced various conflicts due to the proxy based design of NOD v3.x.

Well I'll give my vote to Online Armor. I had been using ZA Pro for years but was finding that I had to turn off features in the program to enable me to do some of my surfing, plus I think it was starting to get too bloated.

I've now installed Online Armor and like what I see, I use it alongside NOD32 v3, SpywareBlaster, SuperAntiSpyware Pro and I also have Ad-Aware 2007 but I'm not that keen on this new version, I'm also behind a NAT Router, I'm wired to that. :thumb:

I just bought myself a 2 year subscription to Online Armor after I've been using Look ´n stop for a few months. I really like OA... HIPS is great. OA gives me what NOD32 can't. Both are really lightweight and they offer me a _complete_ protection against threats.
