It didn't uninstall correctly. Look for a driver.

Yes, this happened to me also. I reinstalled it. Have you tried that? Then clear out all the blocked fields, reboot, and start again.

Then when everything is working fine, then do a proper uninstall, using the uninstaller in Glary Utilities or using Revo Uninstaller.

    See here, does it help?

I would recommend you, in future, to use ZSoft Uninstaller.
Before installing anything, scan with it, install program. If it needs reboot, say yes to reboot and leave ZSoft as is (window open). After reboot, open ZSoft and finish the operation.

Whenever you uninstall the program, you use the normal uninstaller to be sure, then ZSoft to finish it. Confirm every delete - there are sometimes entries (changes that occurred during installation) that aren't related to the said program. It should be easy to know which.

Had a similar problem after uninstalling LinkScanner Pro before. (no internet)
Well after rolling back to a snapshot before the problem. I then put LspFix on my PC, downloaded LinkScanner Pro again, uninstalled and no internet. Ran LspFix and it found 17 or 18 problems, it fixed them and I had my internet back. I keep LspFix handy just incase it happens again.

err, no, comodo's installer keeps saying it can't reinstall (to fix it) because it is already installed, however add/remove programs and z uninstaller can't find it.

Manually remove the COMODO folder. Then reboot windows and then try to install COMDODO again. Hopefully that way, COMODO will see there is no COMODO firewall folder.

dieselman, my third party and add/remove does not detect comodos presence, and my comodo says that it can install, but then it says error 5 acsess is denied, and so it rolls back because i can't anything to the comodo folder. nothing. The steps you have provided don't work. But thanx for trying to help. :D :D :D Its a very bad situation i guess...

Have you tried renaming the Comodo folder? Then trying to install Comodo? You can also use the Microsoft Windows Install Clean Up utility.

he will have to delete it manually....

must of had the protect registry ticked/active in defense plus...

there are 16 enties to delete....however first you have to go into each ones properties and change permissions otherwise they wont delete....and comodo still thinks theres a version already on your machine when you try to install fresh again...
its all there in the link i put up this afternoon or dieslmans post above...

Easy. Grab a Ubuntu Linux LiveCD and boot it. Then when you are running Ubuntu, scroll to your C: and COMODO folder and delete it.

Try safe mode and use the procedures mentioned in my link above, or the batch provided in the same link.
