Other language versions available...

    ESET has released the French and Dutch version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus as well as ESET Smart Security 3.0.630. Besides localization, it also contains some additional fixes.

    The French commercial version installers are currently downloadable from our distributors' download page http://www.eset-nod32.fr. The Dutch version is downloadable from http://www.nod32.nl

    The other localized versions will follow shortly.

    Well, in principle good news. On the other hand, the Germans are again not under first. Completely differently, than it was announced from the german Distributor.

    Thus kind of wrong information repeats. The delay is thus clearly with ESET, said one us.

    in the french web site I see version 621, not 630 !??

    There are no fixes , I suppose . build 3.0.630 is different from the English one (621) just because of small modifications due to specific language needs

    What "fixes" was Marcos referring to?

    I would assume that "small modifications due to specific language needs" would be classified as localization.

    I'm a webmaster too, but hey.

    http://www.eset-nod32.fr/download/download_ess.htm - Features 3.0.621, not 3.0.630.

    And the Dutch site says "3.0", nothing more. I suspect that isn't offering build 630 too because they're still offering XMON 2.5.

    il est impossible à nod32 de scanner certains fichiers (et même d'assez nombreux fichiers)
    Savez vous s'il est possible de regler NOD32 pour qu'il puisse aller au dela de 10 compressions par exemple?

    Je n'ai pas essayé avec EAV - suis au boulot là -(Did'nt yet test EAV because I'm currently working now), mais McAfee Viruscan detecte le zip level 12 (but Mc Afee Virus scan detected level12 zip eicar files)....
    J'essaierai ce soir avec EAV3.0, I will check this evening with my EAV3.0

    Several off-topic posts regarding the creation of a private French and/or multi-language support forum have been removed.

    By agreement with ESET, forums are provided here in English only. If you want to create your own web forum(s) you are certainly free to do so. If you intend to attempt to make any type of "official" NOD32 forum, then you must get ESET's approval for that. If you are making an unofficial forum, simply on one of your websites, that's your business and not a matter for Wilders Security.

    Yes you are right. Official ESET forum must be exclusively in English, for maximum understanding. But now there exists many other languages releases, with their specificities, don't you think that it should be interesting to have a sub working group dedicated to other languages release ?
    Because :
    - Last release is not necessary the same as english one
    - some bugs or questions are related to non english release

    And the condition should be to post on such a sub working group exclusively in English ?

    That's actually a different (bigger) issue then simply having this forum in English. You are really talking about how ESET manages its multi-language product releases, the notes regarding those releases, and by implication the company structure regarding multi-language product development, distribution and support.

    That all goes well beyond just this forum being in English. It involves how ESET localizes its products and manages its releases across languages and countries. That's more then what we can address here. It's an ESET company organization and operation issue.

    There is a different thread that is closer to what you are talking about, and not simply about the release of the French and Dutch versions like this thread.

    Let's not post links to unofficial ESET releases. All releases from ESET will be announced by ESET in these forums.

    German version available

    We are pleased to announce the availability of the German version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus and ESET Smart Security. The German version is currently dowloadable from the German website.

    Since this is the very first official German version, there is no changelog yet. The evaluation versions for other language versions released so far, including English, will be available shortly after they pass QA tests.

    Installed it yesterday after removing 2.7 completely (just to play safe).

    So far, Nod32 3.0 is running flawlessly as ever on my German XP SP2. No problems so far. I really like the new interface and the new configuration options.

    E-Mail checking is working fine with The Bat 3.99. No delays while browsing with Opera or IE7, utorrent is working like a charm, too.

    For me, this build has been worth waiting for! :thumb:

    Maybe I am missing something, but I have this little question:
    3.0.630.0 NL is available, I checked my EAV: It is 3.0.566.0
    No problem with that, but when are updates pushed to clients with update and when not (in general) ?
