I have been using Avira Personal Edition Premium for a couple of weeks. I just noticed that MailGuard shows 0 for the number of emails. MailGuard is supposedly active but the MailGuard statistics make me very uncomfortable. My email client is Outlook 2007 (POP3). Is this normal? o_O

I posted At the Ariva forum...thanks.

    FYI...
After doing some research, it seems that Avira's MailGuard does not work with encrypted connections. I also have not yet found a way to get Avira to scan the Outlook PST file on demand.

Confirgure [Expert] Scan [+] > Archives and you will see a checkbox (default unchecked) at the bottom of the drop-down list.

I don't "Limit recursion depth" and at least one scan with that setting should go deep into Outlook's Archives.

Remember that anything found in there must be removed by you, it will give location, but can't remove or quarantine an archive.
