CD ROM Emulator

Anyone have any recommendation for a CD ROM Emulator please - free preferred.

I have been using the free Paragon one in 2k but does not seem to work correctly in XP.

i might understand the question wrong, but for example daemon tools and alcohol 120% can mount disk images on a virtual cd rom drive. is this what you wish for?

 

Yes thanks, that is it. I suppose Virtual CD is another name for it.

 

I just use the free microsoft winxp virtual cd.

though deamontools is good, I have had a couple of bad version

For me the killer feature is being able to double click on an image file to mount/load, which is slicker than using a menu to mount then opening the drive after.

Apart from that there is not much difference in use.
