On the website it says the Pro version includes-AntiVirus engine with signature updates.

Shouldn't do as it is an on-demand scanner; although the AV engine is also active for ThreatFire's real-time blacklist. However, if it is based on VirusBuster it will be no great shakes!

To return to your original question, IMHO, the Free version will be sufficient for most users.

Pc magazine says-This free tool is an excellent addition to your security arsenal. But don't spend your money for the scan-and-clean Pro version—it's just not up to the job.
    Thanks for the tips guys.:D :D :D

The Threatfire FAQs say this: "It is designed to be used alongside your current antivirus to protect you between antivirus updates. "
