    -my messages is not tagged
-the counter in the number of scanned messages is reset to zero at each reboot

    i have pop3 account on port 110.

EAV and ESS v3.0 still don't support integration with Mozilla Thunderbird

Even if there's no plugin for a particular mail client, email received via POP3 should always be scanned providing that you have email protection enabled. The fact that the counter of scanned email is increasing means that incoming email is actually scanned. Could you try downloading the eicar test file (disable realtime and web protection first), attaching it to an email and sending to your email address to see if it's caught or not?

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I use v 3 and Thunderbird. Nod32 checks email in Thunderbird. You have to check "enable mail checking" in the Pop 3 section of advanced setup for it to work. It works and it puts notification at the bottom of the email.
However, I can't seem to find the number of emails scanned. Where do I look?

My message is tagged Since this afternoon like this:

_________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 2824 (20080126) __________

The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

Is ok, after disable realtime and web protection and enabled

jayt, the number of emails scanned is here

    counters.JPG
but is equal to zero after each reboot for me.

dm6154, thank you. :) I think resetting to zero is default action. I am on dsl (constant on) so I hadn't noticed before, but when I just rebooted and my prior email scanned messages which had numbered 3 before reboot, now numbers 0. Maybe someone from Eset can clarify that.

Well I'll be darned, never could get it to post the message at the end of the email, but, now it does .. go figure.

    Computers are mysterious things.

    Thanks,

    Isn't that like normal behavior?
I'm not sure since I still use 2.7 but when I take a look at AMON, it resets after every reboot. It displays how much files have been scanned since NOD started "today". (same goes for the other modules, DMON, EMON and IMON)
