What the heck is this.

    Just browsing the internet and click on www.intellicast.com to look at the radar and this pops up. I have been to this site a thousand times.

    What the heck is this?


    It's called mistake in the certificate . Lots of sites have errors in the certificates and generally it could not a problem ...

    Well, in addition to various certificate problems, it's not at all surprising that when pulling content from one website that you may well access an akamai.net server. akamai is a popular and common mirror for content, generally, but not always, to provide extra bandwidth to heavily accessed websites, often from multiple geographic locations.

    Basically, akamai mirrors massive amounts of content, or provides larger bandwidth image support, to a large number of big and popular websites.

    admt is a advertisment network.
    akamai provides backbone bandwidth.

    so, admt had a ssl certificate for one ad banner, but since the actuall banner is hosted by akamai, the cert goes bad.

    it's all legit, just a mistake on their part.
