I have the free grisoft AVG installed on my computer. My Update is scheduled to go on daily from 8 AM to 10 AM. Does my computer have to be turned on and be connected to the internet at 8 AM in order for AVG to update? What if my computer is not turned on until 11 AM? Would it not update on that particular day? Also my scanner is set to come on at 8 AM daily. If my computer is not turned on at 8 AM would it not be scanned that day? Thank you very much. user429

When you want to start a scheduled update or a scan in AVG FREE you have to be logged on computer. If you are not, the update or scan will be missed. You can specify if you want to start missed tasks or not. Please check the settings of each scheduled task in AVG Control Center - Scheduler component.

    Oops, I apologize!
Since this is the "Anti-spyware" forum, I thought the poster was making inquiries about AVG's Anti-Spyware.
