Where to buy EAZFIX ?

After Trying Eazfix for 10 days, I want to buy it. Anybody know where I can buy it online ?

They are rebranded cousins of the same application. Looking at the files, it would appear that EAZ is the lead on this one.

EAZ FIX is from my actual real world experience much more reliable and dependable then RollbackRx, that app for some reason is always causes a problem on whatever machine i try it on with terrible results.

On the other hand, EAZ-FIX performs like a well-oiled machine and i'm still waiting for the first issue and from looks of things there won't be any.

It's very well made and it's features as really useful, especially stable i also might add.

I really enjoy EAZ-FIZ so far as an instant ISR is concerned, and it takes snapshots in whats appears just a moment in time. Very quick and done, and then you can LOCK them, delete them, take a snapshot with added security programs or other apps, and UPDATE THE BASELINE with a simple reboot, and it doesn't flinch at all or choke. No BSOD's ever since i been using it which is nearly a month now.

It just works, and works for me every single time. Nice ISR app if you ask me.

Probably the best replacement that i would highly recommend in vue of the loss of FD-ISR.

 

I emailed EAZ Solution about purchasing EAZ-FIX, and they suggested that I might purchase an individual user license from www.pcundo.com. Support for the product is still through EAZ Solution. EAZ-FIX is sold for $49.00 at PC Undo, which looks like a pretty good deal.

 

i thought Rollback create their own software, and use 8.1

EAZ are using an old 8.0 version, and dont even look like they have changed anything to 'make it their own'

Quick question. According to the pcundo, "A snapshot is only a table recording all the data on the hard drive at the time of the snapshot, not actual backup of files on the hard drive."

If a snapshot is not a backup of files, how can I roll my system back 1 week, 1 month, etc., when during that time many of my files will have changed, been deleted, etc.?

 

It's a series of maps that track and preserve changes.

When you delete a file, it is still on the disk until you overwrite it. If an application keeps track of that location, and prevents writes from changing it, that application can restore it at any time. The added detail with EAZFIX is that it (and Rollback Rx) work at a sector level. For a simple file deletion, it's the same. However, when you change a file (let's say you download email and it gets stuffed into your postoffice or something gets updated), a very limited number of sectors that comprise the "postoffice file" or installation are changed, so preservation does not require retention of entire file or set of files, but the incremental sector level changes only.

The basic scheme is very similar to how Windows Home Server works, except it is practiced on and within a single file system. The upside is very high efficiency and space utilization. The downside is that if you perform any tasks outside of the environment (let's say you (or someone else) boots a Bart PE Live CD of Windows)) you can very easily blow the entire thing away since that "new environment" does not know about the sector level remapping. These details are in the documentation, and it's also why you need to employ the integrated defragmentation tool.
