I'm sold on Tiny Watcher myself like many. Are there any additional entries which might prove useful for XP to it?

I haven't visited the author's site in quite a while and wonder if this is the final version or if another improved feature version might surface sometime in the near future.

I like it too, it´s very nice to see the many file and dir changes on system.

Anyone have insight to whether Tiny Watcher might be updated anytime? It's a useful compliment to other security apps in spite it compares after a reboot. Useful indeed.

Also any other additions to it's current configs around aside from Bellgamin's nice list?

Personally i like to see them fashion the GUI progress bar a little more with some flair if possible. I've grown accustomed to more streamlined looks or at least settings that allow a user to modify certain looks like color bar or even alpha blending now were in XP.

    Hi Easter,
Thank you vm for using TW.
Actually I would be glad to make one day a new release...

Since version 1.500 the list of suggestions is growing; there are also a couple of assertion failure reported by a few users (not sure how many get the problem without reporting it) that I would really like to get fixed... but hard to catch without being able to reproduce the problem myself.

At the "should-be bottom" of this list are the cosmetic enhancements. I know many users judge a software by the way it looks and as such TW looks like a pretty dumb or obsolete piece of junk.
Actually I focused on the scanning part, what to scan and how to keep it fast enough to never hesitate to perform a manual scan. The gauge was quite necessary so it is the only "graphic" feature I conceded.
On another hobby project, I had fun some time ago with Alpha blending, as you can see there:
    http://www.donationcoders.com/kubicle/minuscule/smoothAgent/index.html
...but I used to have so much more spare time back then... :(

So, I hope you will not be too disappointed, but there should not be a major release of TW anytime soon. At most a small upgrade to fix the problems found.
Ah, there is also a nice Japanese fellow (nickname Asabukuro) who translated the GUI to his native language. I know it is of little use for most of you but I feel happy&proud about it (damn, I do live in Japan after all! :D )

Though, I am starting a new thread just now about putting TW on Source Forge. If this happens, you should get many features, probably including a relooking ;).

    Cheers,
    Olivier

    Thank You Olivier :)

Yes, there are many of us who really like this app and look forward to any enhancements/improvements you deem within your own time frame.

It's pretty darn sharp As-Is for no more size than what it is, and it's a nice change meter for files/registry items.

Oh, and btw, it's not so true "looks like a pretty dumb or obsolete piece of junk", a little past flavor looking maybe, but never junk. LoL

We'll keep an eye out occasionally and maybe you'll even surprise us all when we least expect it.

Again, thanks for being here and replying in kind. Appreciated.

    Regards EASTER
