Steve I'm a little lost. Are you saying that Plus accounts will be upgraded soon to a VPN anyway? And what does "load up SSH connections into xB Browser" mean? Hehe, sorry, but I am definitely a newbie at all of this.

    Caspian, a good point.

It looks as though Xerobank is about to get a total makeover!!! The possibilities seem utterly tempting.. Not just a face lift, but a radical restructuring.

Steve, If you're at liberty to do so, could you perhaps take a few moments, please, and give us of a general overview of the direction XB is heading in, and what we might expect in the short term, say 30-90 days and what we might expect to see say in the next 12 months?

This very exciting to say the least.

    Thanks!!

Yes. Plus accounts will get unlimited VPN access, and SSH will become a backup connection method incase users are unable to run VPN software. All accounts will be converted into bandwidth-based accounting. Pro clients get a larger upgrade amount.

    Hello Steve,

After reading this topic I have decided to try your services so I brought 3 months of Xeroban Plus plan. I've already payed two days ago by e-gold. Ticketing system is not working, and the emails comes back to me as unreachable. Would you please check into that. I don't want to sound impacient but I really like to try your services.

    Thanks Steve

That was fast if I may says so! I'm confident that I will become a regular client and most likely I'll upgrade my plan.
    Thank again,

Hi Steve, you reset an account for me a few days ago and I subsequently raised a ticket to say that your servers were refusing to accept the connection (as before, key refused errors) but no response.

I notice the helpdesk software ain't working either!

I just created a test account and I'm having no trouble creating tickets. Since yours was assigned to me prior, it should go back to me. I'm about 36 tickets deep right now, and plan to have them all sorted this evening when I synchronize with the keyserver admin (different timezones).

Cool. I was able to allow scripts so I could watch an art vid on youtube. Is it still more secure than regular firefox even though I allowed scripts?

Unless your specific attack vector is YouTube, yes, it is significantly more "secure" than firefox. And by "attack vector" i mean that you have risk of being hacked by YouTube's site if it decided to host malicious code.

Think of allowing scripts like having unprotected sex. That is simply the *best* analogy. Do you trust the website you are interacting with to allow them to run code on your host computer? Yahoo we know shouldn't be trusted. And by default we don't trust anyone, unless we trust them, in xB Browser.

    Hello everyone.

xB Browser 2.0.0.11a is about to be released. It uses the same core as
above, but has more advanced features like the key acquisition system,
added local proxy support for XeroBank Plus users, and Seek & Destroy
    ALL Flash cookies.

We also included a built-in debug mode and uninstaller links from the
    start menu.

Also included an initial warning diagram to explain to users how the
software works, including simple do's and don'ts.

I would love feedback and suggestions.

Includes the new xB Modern theme.

    Download Here

I just upgraded my free version to 2.0.0.11 and seem to have lost the flush tor circuit button. Just wondering if it's just me or has it been removed? If removed is there a way to get it back?

I just tried a version of it with Tor, seems to have the flushtorcircuit button for me. Now, it does indeed remove the button if you have openvpn running, as it is then expecting you are running the xerobank network.

Sorry, I really should have tried an uninstall/reinstall before asking (the button is back now). I had first just installed the new on top of the old (chose upgrade in the installer) and the button went poof. Probably just a little glitch on my end with the upgrade. Thanks.

Is there a way to check to see if you have the current release of a piece of software? What about beta software that is available for testing? The only places I know about are in my client profile and the products page, but I keep seeing updated software in this thread... Is there a way to have an open directory of files within the client profile?

One more small question about the new free version. Sorry if I'm missing an obvious setting, but is there a way to turn off the initial prompt for "Flash cookies were found....remove them" or to set a default value for it?

I've tried turning off warnings in xB config, but no dice (actually, the check doesn't stay; if I go right back into config, it's unchecked again).

xB Browser will always let you know if you don't have the most current *official* release. What we have done is eliminate the versioning differences between the client control panel and the website. So the version you download from either should be the same. However, on the website, we'll have a lovely archive so you can get previous versions, including the source code. New website coming up shortly. However, the suggestion is to always stay up to date with the latest versions. Shortly, we'll be introducing an auto-updater with pgp signature verification.

Well I thought there *might* be a bug there, or at least a better way to implement it. Does it *always* say there are flash cookies, or does it happen only after you've run your normal browser again? As for the xB Config, it is an INI generator, but doesn't read your prior settings. Perhaps it should. I'll add that function in shortly.

No, it doesn't seem to be a bug. If I tell it to delete, then close and reload, there is no prompt unless I use Opera for a bit in between. The prompt isn't a huge issue: I was just curious if there was somewhere to set a default of maybe a)always delete if found b)never delete or c)prompt.

I think it might be possible to add a check box to the popup so that is set in such a way it never asks again.

The check box would do the trick. It's really not a big hassle (was just wondering if I was missing a settting somewhere), but thanks for taking the time to consider it.

Nicolas, it is updated, but maybe there is a bug you are experiencing. Email me the exact download link you are getting from the control panel.
