Only reason to stay with v2 etc. etc. is when v3.0 is pulled off the market to get fixed 100%.

I don't have to use anything, for that matter........but this happens to be my choice for buying an av scanner. In this case I bought Nod32. O.k?
I don't buy a product for disabling all kind of settings, modules.....etc. Then I buy another product, with the right modules for me.

Exploding does NOT help AT ALL.

There are moments in someone's life, that it sure as hell helps.......believe me.
It has helped me a few times to get some things straight.

This whole Eset show needs straightened out......wish you would reach the point of admitting instead of going on and on with this big defense strategy!

Doing the things (even in background) is much better than making a drama and it is precisely making a drama what is going on these days/weeks here at Wilders in ESET subforums . People complain over and over again for different things but they just complain . People just don't change anything so that their problem (whatever problem) goes away (complaing does not help) . If I don't help myself , nobody is gonna do the job for me , if you understand me .

Let us stop this discussion of nothing , it is getting off-topic :thumb:

    Mail checking is screwed!
Wxpsp2, Nod32v3 with Opera mail client. Couldn't send or recieve mail unless I uncheck mail protection in Nod. Latest updates from Eset ( 2786).

You keep on saying, that people just complain instead of changing anything in order to get their problems solved. I will not accept the fact, that this way the blame is put on the complaining people again. I understand, that I need to configure any piece of software on my pc.......nobody will do that for me, but when I purchase a product with certain abilities, what it is made for, does not do what it is supposed to do....., I am not the one that should have to frig around for ages to get this product up and running without certain abilities I bought this for, just for the sake of having to use this product!
If you buy a car with an airco and that airco does not do what it is supposed to.......are you going to just drive that car with the airco switched off and wait for the dealer to contact you with the question: "Sir, is your airco working ok?"

I'll stop indeed, but I will not rest my case till there's something done about it and don't keep on referring to v2.7.......it's v3.0 that's on the counter!
You may call this a discussion of nothing........but I find it a very important discussion.

If you look at my screen shot you'll notice that the point at which it fails is when it's scanning the email folders for OE - specifically the Deleted Items folder. The fact you don't have a problem and don't use OE could tell us the problem lies with the scanning of OE email folders. Especailly as Marcos asked about it

and scanning with email UNCHECKED seems to solve the problem.

As above. This is a manual scan and during that scan it checks the email files. Again see my screen shot. As you don't use OE either it's possible that is why you don't see the problem.

A further point: Since this Archive Support Module changed to times, a manual Scan now needs up to 38 minutes. Before approx. 29 minutes. What was changed that it needs now clearly longer?

    I changed no attitudes o_O .
