    You can select multiple items.

Why Jan - Jun? Since we can only vote once, can't change our selections, and we often change security software during the year, I thought it appropriate to do two polls, one through June and one through the end of the year.

Here are the top five AVs from the 2007 poll (number of votes after the hyphen).

    1. NOD32 - 208
    2. Avira/Antivir - 110
    3. Kaspersky - 97
    4. Avast - 57
    5. AVG - 45

Currently own a licence for Antivir which will end in a couple of months. Right now I am trialing Avast free as I don't feel the need for a paid AV with my actual Security

Is prevx really an AV? I thought it was more of a smart behavior blocker.

Great antivirus with good detection rates and low system impact.

I voted for NoD32 (v2). I've been there, tried this, and that, and nothing feels as snug as 'old RedEye', (2.7).

Scrapped NOD, new version is horrible. AntiVir is working great so I'm using that.

New version of NOD32 works perferct for me.
I didn't know Antivir was so popular.
Is it the free version or the paid version that is popular?

Of course any free version will be more popular than a paid version - it's free.

I use AVG 7.5 and Firewall and Prevx.

Both coming up for renewal, I shall be sticking with AVG, not sure on Prevx yet.

I was a McAfee user for several years and just got tired of spending the money that they raked in when free protection was available. I now have AVG on all my computers (6; 5 XP and 1 Vista). I tried Avast and had some issues with it and just could not get it configured to work as smoothly as AVG.

    Nod32.

I've not used any other AV, and honestly need something that will clean up the most nasties with the least false positives. Made a fun chart with AV-Comparatives data, and made my decision from there.

Norton here. :) But I'm considering Avira Premium free for 6 moths, just to try it out. But I'm very pleased with Norton.
