    Hi

After weeks of dilly-dallying, finally purchased ESS Smart Security from www.betterantivirus.com @ $59.99 (approx £30) today. After purchasing using credit card, bettervirus emailed me temporary user name + password which is valid until 19/1/08. Now a few hours later i have received another user name /password which i believe is final one...but upon putting this in, again it is only valid until 19/1/08 and this came in email from ESET....my licence should expire on 1/1/09. Does anyone know what's going on?

It's a very reliable company, so no worries. I think that if you send them an email you will get an answer in a few days time. Webyourbusiness is the boss of the company, and he is here too. He can help you; send him a PM. I had a similair problem but that was solved in a couple of days time.

Same opinion. They will straighten things out quickly in my own experience. Just need to alert them directly of any issues.

I bought mine from them. I had a different issue that they tried to be helpful with. Just contact them, they'll do right by you.

Patience. Wait and see tomorrow. I had the same thing, the next day it gave the correct date. You have to give these people a chance to update their data or where ever they store this info.

Good question, considering the date(19/1/08) mentioned above is the expiry date that the trial date was changed to by Marcos back on the 19th of Dec....assuming the trial is what psychopomp1 has installed :doubt:

After re-boot, it may still take a few hours\days for the Eset system to recognize that user and display the proper lic expiry date.

Had the same problem myself, but after mailing them it was fixed in hours. Your delay could be down to the holiday period. Have found them to be a very helpful company.

I'm on the 90 day ESS trial from them and in March will buy from them if ESS pans out. They accept PayPal, also, which is important to me.

Yes. It should be disppeared at this point if you have rebooted your computer.
Like said above, it'll take couple of days for ESET to add your license info to their servers. It'll show up eventually. Nothing to worry about.

Ping a Moderator. Psychpomp1 has a right to question anything Allowed by the moderator(s) BUT- If you follow this Forum you know that WebYourBusiness has been a valued contributor and when an issue like this (my expiration date is wrong) has been covered ad nauseum and is Predictable as a Administrative issue Something Should Be Edited to prevent Negative Inferences to be published about a company and then Corrected on Page 432.

This is likely an ESET admin issue and should be treated as such - Not as a Vendor issue - unless it becomes one. There should be a Post Rule that no company can have an "inferred wrong" posted about it until detailed proof is reviewed by a moderator.

Please get this post temporarily side-tracked until this becomes a Real Issue - and it Won't.

Bought my 2 year from Betterantivirus and can honestly and sincerely say that the customer service skills and attention is OUTSTANDING. Expiration date has been a problem for all of us, but that has nothing to do w/the retailer. As stated before, Eset will get it straight and one day soon, you'll boot up, take a look, and it will be there! Think the post above mine says that. :)

I also got my ESS from Betterantivirus, all I can say is that the service is exemplary, It's up with the best of them.

the holiday had most probably "messed" it up.

A nice polite email will get you sorted, and that's another point, they know all about good customer support, in that a happy customer wiii return and recommend his friends to them. I'm not just posting that, that really is how they look on it.

    Hi Greg

I now get the correct expiration date 01/01/09, its seems it took a couple of days for ESET to register my details on their database.....guess i was being impatient! Anyway webyourbusiness were extremely quick and helpful in solving my problem, i will definitely recommend you guys to others.

    All the best!

yeah - Eset's systems take 2-3 days to upload the expiration date from the time it is processed and you get your email - that's just "normal" - but what do I know, I'm only a database programmer with 20 years commercial experience... ;)

I bought a 2-year ESS license from these guys yesterday (£38 instead of the £60 price tag in the UK ) and it went without a hitch. :thumb:

Unfortunately, my experience is different. On their support page

    http://www.betterantivirus.com/nod32-support/

there is no e-mail address. Rather, you have to fill out a cumbersome form.

I have filled out and submitted the form twice, but I have never received a response.

KWG: Phone: I never failed to reach someone when calling about ESS pre-purchase and suggest you do the same.

Sppt 1-970-744-7300/Sales 1-877-88-NOD32 (I'd suggest after 9 am their time ) After 2 Forms submitted, go for Toll Free first.
