New features

    I think the eset smart security is very good, but could be added some features, one for cleaning and removal and other for performance.

    He means tune up features (cleaning computer garbage, reapiring registry...)

    I think that would be a bad idea.

    One of the main appeals of ESS is its simplicity in terms of what it does: Firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam. Nothing else.

    Features like registry cleaners, registry guards, privacy tools, data safes, temp file cleaners, parental controls etc. etc. are best left to separate applications. The lack of these features, in my mind, is what keeps ESS above the bloated packages from competitors such as Kaspersky, ZoneAlarm, Outpost, F-Secure, Norton (well, that one goes without saying!) etc.

    I agree. There are enough bloated suites all ready out there.

    ESS does have tune up features because when I installed ESS my boot up time dramatically improved.

    I agree on that.

    there are plenty of good cleaners out there & some are free.

    had you previously removed a resource hog security suite like kaspersky/f-secure/norton/mcafee?

    Lean and mean is the name of the game....Can someone recommend a free register cleaner that does the job well? Thx
