Anyone experiencing a memory leak using WDF in Vista? Yesterday I noticed WDF.exe was running at about 70,000k in process explorer. Today I checked again and it is now running at 143,000k (no reboot in between checking). Any ideas? FWIW- the wdf network service is running at 3,740k.

I heard WDF is likely to have some vulnerabilities, so maybe it's worth trying something else.

DSA definitely has an occasional leak. Mine was up to 250MB a few days ago afrer doing a lot of browsing. I think v2 needs a little more work. I'm a bit dissapointed with it.

    You heard where?

I am also curious about this firewall... Anyone tested it? STEMo_O?

I tried it. Very poor GUI. ZAAS is more well laid out.

I had no problems with the operation and protection provided by the Webroot Firewall, but I did have problems with compatability with other apps - specifically it was incompatible with Comodo BoClean and SuperAdBlocker. Setting them as 'Trusted' didn't help. They were never remembered as trusted and updates were treated as any newly-installed app.

Comodo BoClean compatability is perhaps an 'acid test', since I also found it incompatable with Comodo's own Comodo 3 firewall/HIPS (multiple sets of identical rules created).

Otherwise, I found the Webroot Firewall to provide good firewall/HIPS protection combined with excellent ease-of-use. With further refinement, I think it could be an outstanding product.

Used WDF for quite a while and thought it was a first class wall for various reasons.,as did many others.Great GUI!
The only reason I changed was because the DSA alerts were a bit of an acquired taste.
Never had any memory leaks, always constant and cant remember this being an issue.

    Hard to explain!

So is this just a re branded DSA firewall? Or what?
