I looked for any info on TI's website, but could not find a link to answer the question of the differences between TI 11 and TI 10.

Please reply with your comments on TI 11 and how much it is better, and/or the bugs within 11.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I don't agree that v10 not working with Vista. I have been running Vista Home Premium on my system since day 1...and have used Acronis TI10 to back it up. I am currently up and running after restoring from a backup about a month ago. My old AV software messed up Windows...and I simply repartitioned my RAID array...and restored using the Recovery Disk and my external Firewire HDD. Took all of 45 minutes to restore 80 GB to my array and I have been running flawlessly ever since. V10 actually DOES work...just make sure you have the latest version. V11...questionable...and more questionable. Many of us have NOT upgraded because of ICH8 / ICH9 on Intel motherboards...v11's lack of hardware support with emergency restore disk and more.

My suggestion...look for other solutions at this point. Acronis has been dragging their feet on v11 and how well it interacts with hardware. Wish I could recommend something...but unable...I just live with v10 until something comes along that works...

v10 has its issues with hardware too. I had emailed tech support with my problem; The NIC card is a NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller/Realtek 8201CL PHY , and the motherboard is a BioStar NF520-A2 ver 6.0, with the chipset is a North Bridge NVIDIA nForce 520 MCP. On booting using the CD in full/usb mode, will not see my networked PC's and I am 99.9% sure its due to the board chipset. TI tech support has asked me to provide them technical data on this chipset, have not done this as of yet, will soon though.

So for now I will not upgrade to v11, because I am 99.9% sure that it will not fix the problem, until TI provides more compatability into their software. This should have been done/should be done with v10 with another build, instead of us having to buy an upgraded version, v11, that probably will not solve the issues anyways.

    regards...

I found that Paragon Drive Backup worked for both backup and restore on my Vista notebook, the first time. And I did not have to buy it to find that out. I've been trying since September to get ATI 11 to restore without success. Finally gave up today. Acronis is gone. Uninstalled. Seeking a refund, too.
