I have tried a few other av's , suites etc but I feel secure with Nod32. I have always played with AV's but for the past 2 years my default has beed Nod32. My biggest issue is the boot time (Vista) but I can live with that till they have a tweak I just wanted ESET to know that while not completely happy, I trust my machine to their security solutions...thanks

    Good attitude.

For me, v3.0 and the ESS suck ATM, but they will improve, and I think they will be worth the wait.

I like ESS and EAV. I have ESS on my computer and EAV on my wife's laptop. If there was any issue with her laptop I would know because she can't stand for her computer to have problems. After the "View workgroup computers" issue is fixed I might upgrade to ESS on hers. But then again I might not. I never deal with banking on her computer.

Other than the one little glitch that I can easily work around they both work great for us. There are no other problems. I'm sure that problem is going to be fixed soon. :D :thumb: Good job ESET :D :thumb:

    Hello,

I agree fully with the general tenor of this thread. I renewed my licence for the antivirus software a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised when Eset Australia's agents sent me a new user name and password for the ESS suite. After I confirmed this was no mistake I set about installing it, though having read the various complaints in these fora, I was hesitant about installing the suite. So I took a snapshot of the system using Acronis and installed the new software. Installation could not have been simpler, the software works beautifully without any of the slow-downs reported and with the other software I have installed, and the firewall passes the various stealth tests.

On the other hand, I've since uninstalled separate antispam and firewall software. I understand Eset are bringing out an update to the suite; if and when they do, the software can only get better.

    Bravi, Eset, bravi.

Of course they will. The nature of the Virus Writers vs Antivirus Writers conflict demands constant development. As long as there is an Internet there will be this need.
