Now at version 1.1.838 and monitoring 283 behaviors. Configuration version is at 153. I believe that its brother, Primary Response SafeConnect has also been updated.

    Hi,

    Strange.

I have PRSC, and 153 has been with me for a while (more than one month).

Version 1.1.838 of NAB is what you get if you download the trial version from Symantec. I doubt that they would allow a beta to be used for this purpose. Of course, you can register it with your serial number.

I've tried checking for an update tonight, and I keep getting an "Update Error" window, which says, "Update not completed". I guess I'll keep trying.

Since the "Check for Updates" button in the cosole didn't help, I downloaded the trial and installed it. When I ran the installer, it said it was "upgrading" Antibot. Now I have Version 1.1.838. Thanks QBgreen.

Has anyone noticed an increased loading speed during bootup with this version? Much faster on my XP Pro machine.

Haven't tried it yet, but that would be a welcome change.... Both AntiBot and also SEP11 seemed to slow down my machine's startup to an intolerable extent.... especially SEP11.

    Hi,

PRSC(AntiBot's OEM) does not slow down my boot-up process. What I have experienced before with such situation are:

    AVG AS; BoClean: ThreatFire.

I guess ,in SEP11's case, it may have same feature as those I mentioned, extensive system scan during bootup.

Prevx2 used to have similar problem with version 1, the issue has been cleared since advanced to version 2.

P.S. I vaguely remember that some one has raised the question that AB may indeed have an extra process than PRSC ?

After these days there isn't information about AB update.. I can't found it in symantec.com and nowhere. Someone can find infromation about what changed, what added or something? This update wasn't from liveupdate and it was't showed in control center messages too. How customers can know about it?

    SEP 11 is broken.

Firewall causes CPU to run 4% at idle.

Windows file/printer sharing does not work without additional rules.

WPA2 wireless does not work without an "allow all" rule on the local network.

Defeats power management on my notebook, machine will not sleep on its own.

Enterprise users report complete network crashes.

Not possible to change any firewall settings when running LUA, even using utilities to elevate privileges.

    It needs some work...

SEP11 (September 11 ? ) haven't AntiBot functionalitys, it's absolutelly different product, so if you will have both, you will get very good combo.

NAB and PRSC now at configuration version 159. Both should update automatically, but you can always do a manual check.
