RIS, PXE = problems

Hi,

I'm trying to deploy a image created by snap deploy via PXE.

The server that I have installed it onto is also a RIS server.

When I boot to PXE using a laptop I get nothing, however If I use the boot CD I created using the deployment media wizard I can see the computers IP address in manage deployment.

At the point I thought I had won in the battle of man vs machine or at least getting somewhere.

Then the installation process exit's and boots XP.

After checking the error log's the following were listed:

Specified session ID not found

Host <ip address here> failed to deploy.

Any help would be very much appreiated

 

Did you install the pxe server component on a system on hte network so it can boot from it. And that being said, goto PXE Configuration from the management console and did you right click and upload the Agent?

 

Both agents are also installed

 

Will using RIS and PXE server conflict?
