the word is around Christmas. As far as a day or date, I dont care. I would rather for them to make sure to get all needed then to worry about any date. Its coming Larry, and hopefully we both will have some of these posted.:) :) :) :)

    Just called ESET Tech support

They told me no new releases till maybe mid January & to default back to v2.7? They said by than the bugs should be fixed. I ask why did they release it so early than? This really gives me a bad taste. This was a minor annoyance 2 nd week after release but not funny now...

I have confirmation of the technical support of the Eset unless they walk playing the people and answering at random.

Cool. I've been experiencing that quite a bit recently. A much-improved ESS in time for Christmas would be a nice present!

Let me put my question differently. How many had or have the high 99 - 100% CPU usage that has been reported?:)
Note: I just realized this post should be in the AV thread, not the firewall thread, but input from both is important.

I had very high CPU usage with the original release 3.0.551. I did a complete uninstall and installed 3.0.563/6. My high CPU problems went away.

Overall I do find any 3.x to make my PC a bit slower than the 2.x series.

I suppose ESET is working on tweaking it. ESET A-V protection is just too good so I can live with it while they work on it to make it better.

I sure hope nothing goes wrong and the new update comes out before Christmas. There'll probably be a lot of fixes with this one considering how long it has taken.

As there is now a "new update" which can be found mentioned in the sticky at the top of this forum, we'll bring this thread to a close.
