Well... You have a lot of bad programs running with F-Secure OR you have system problems OR instalation problems... because usually it's not the resource usage of F-Secure IS 2008. It's about 70Mb with a lot of other software running. Many processes, it's truth, but no big impact in system usage.

Here's kind of a dumb question, but I can't seem to find the answer. Does F-Secure have an "about" tab, one that gives version info, etc? If it does, I can't locate it. TIA.

Is it the 2008 version? I know Charter has offered a version of FSecure's suite, for a while now, but I haven't looked recently, since the prior version didn't support Vista. I think this version does, so maybe it is the 2008 version.

I tried Fsecure the other day. My processes went from 25 to 37 after install.

It didn't seem to slow my pc down too much compared to all the services that were running. But I didn't like the fact that they all had to be running and couldn't be disabled with the trial.

Well I loaded up the Charter version last night to see, and it "looks" like it's the 2008 version. However, after loading it(Vista), after every reboot, it just caused my harddrive to constantly thrash, for a good 5-7, if not close to 10 minutes. After that, it would eventually settle down, but that thrashing, after a reboot, even if it is free, is just too much. I'll stick with Bitdefender, for now.
